TNT Tops the Charts as Basic Cable's #1 Network in Primetime for the Second Consecutive Week
Turner spins the numbers for the week of May 6-12.

For the second consecutive week, TNT topped the charts as basic cable's #1 network in primetime among total viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. With the NBA Playoffs in full swing, TNT also scored a primetime victory with adults 18-34 for the week, plus a total-day victory with adults 25-54.

Since the start of its NBA Playoffs coverage on April 21, TNT has ranked #1 among cable networks airing sports programming in primetime, averaging a 2.6 U.S. HH rating and more than 3.8 million total viewers. Each evening TNT has aired games since the start of the second round, the network has ranked #1 among cable networks in U.S. HH ratings and total viewers. Additionally, for the NBA Playoffs to date, TNT has televised eight of the top 10 NBA games on cable.

Cartoon Network

Across the second week of May 2013, Cartoon Network ranked as television's #1 network for Total Day and Early Prime (7-9 p.m.) delivery of boys 9-14.

Cartoon Network was the #1 television destination among kids 9-14 and boys 6-11 & 9-14 on all television Monday Night (7-9p), #1 among boys 6-11 & 9-14 on Tuesday Night, and #1 among boys 9-14 on Wednesday Night. Wednesday night's overall performance also earned year over year ratings and delivery growth among kids 9-14 and boys 9-14, ranging between 3% and 7%.

A new episode of Cartoon Network's original animated series Regular Show (Monday, 8 p.m.) scored as the #1 telecast of the week among boys 9-14, #1 telecast of the day among kids 9-14 and boys 6-11/9-14, and #1 in its time period among all kids and boys demos. The new episode premiere of original series Adventure Time (7:30 p.m.) also ranked #1 in its timeslot among kids 9-14 and all boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14.

On Tuesday night, the network's newest original animated series Teen Titans GO! (7:30 p.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among kids 9-14 and all boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14, while a new episode of acquired series Johnny Test (7 p.m.) ranked #1 in its timeslot among boys 6-11 & 9-14. The evening was crowned with a new episode of The Looney Tunes Show (8 p.m.), which also ranked #1 in its timeslot among all boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14, earning delivery gains among kids 9-14 and boys 2-11 & 9-14.

Cartoon Network's Saturday Morning action-adventure block earned solid delivery gains among kids & boys 9-14 vs. the same time period last year, topped by a new episode premiere of Pokémon BW: Adventures in Unova (8:30 a.m.) ranking #1 for the day among boys 9-14, and a new episode of Beyblade: Metal Fury (8 a.m.) ranking #1 in its time period among boys 9-14.

Adult Swim

Maintaining its #1 position throughout 2013 to date, Adult Swim's Total Day performance ranked #1 with adults 18-24, 18-34 & 18-49 and men 18-24, 18-34, & 18-49 on basic cable this week. Compared to the same week in 2012, Total day delivery grew across the board - adults 18-24 by 11%, adults 18-34 by 11%, adults 18-49 by 8%, men 18-24 by 17%, men 18-34 by 15% and men 18-49 by 7%.

In Primetime (broadcast definition), Adult Swim ranked #2 among basic cable networks for delivery of adults 18-34. Compared to the same week in 2012, Primetime delivery grew significantly among adults 18-24 by 13%, adults 18-34 by 24%, adults 18-49 by 18%, men 18-24 by 9%, men 18-34 by 18% and men 18-49 by 9%.

Among Adult Swim original series, a new episode of its newest live-action comedy Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell (Thursday, 12 a.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among ALL targeted adults (18-34, 18-24, 18-49), increasing delivery across key adults by double digits vs. the same time period last year, ranging between 28% and 38%.

The season finale of original series Loiter Squad (Sunday, 12 a.m.) also ranked #1 in its timeslot among all adults 18-24, 18-34 & 18-49 and young men, growing by double and triple digits across the board vs. the same time period last year, ranging between 67% and 206%.

The Saturday night Toonami block also scored success: new episode premieres of Bleach (12 a.m.) ranked #1 in its timeslot with adults 18-24 and men 18-34; Naruto (12:30 a.m.) and Soul Eater (1 a.m.) ranked #1 in their respective timeslots among men 18-24 & 18-34; and Tenchi Muyo! GXP (3 a.m.) ranked #1 among men 18-24. These premiere episodes all earned mostly double-digit delivery increases across key adults vs. the same time period last year.

The Saturday night episode premiere of The Cleveland Show (10:30 p.m.) ranked #1 in its timeslot among adults and men 18-24 & 18-34, and recorded double and triple-digit delivery increases across the board vs. last year, ranging between 31% and 141%.

Adult Swim programming - including Family Guy, American Dad, Robot Chicken, Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell, The Cleveland show and Loiter Squad - accounted for 27 of the top 50 telecasts on basic cable for the week among adults 18-34, and 31 of the top 50 telecasts with men 18-34, both more than any other network.

TBS

TBS's original series Men at Work scored strong growth with last Thursday's episode, garnering a total audience of 2.0 million viewers (+17% vs. prior the week). The growth was even strong in the demos, with the episode averaging 1.2 million adults 18-49 in Live + 3 (+25% vs. the prior week) and 703,000 adults 18-34 (+33% vs. the prior week).

Tuesday night's episode of Who Gets the Last Laugh? brought in 1.2 million viewers in Live + 3. In key demos, the hidden-camera comedy series was up over the prior week's episode by double digits, averaging 711,000 adults 18-49 (+16%) and 341,000 adults 18-34 (+14%).

Last week, TBS's telecasts of The Big Bang Theory and Men at Work accounted for 18 of basic cable's top 20 sitcom telecasts among total viewers and 19 of the top 20 sitcom telecasts among adults 18-49.

truTV

truTV's hit series Hardcore Pawn (Tuesday at 9 p.m.) scored more than 1.8 million viewers last week, including 892,000 adults 18-49 and 472,000 men 18-49. The show ranked as one of ad-supported cable's Top 5 programs in the timeslot with adults 18-49, as well as among the Top 5 cable entertainment programs with total viewers and men 18-49. With Hardcore Pawn leading the way, truTV ranked as one of cable's Top 10 entertainment networks Tuesday night with total viewers, adults 18-49 and men 18-49.

NBA TV

Last week, NBA TV televised this year's final installment of The Association, the behind-the-scenes show tracking the Brooklyn Nets. This year's 13 episodes outdelivered last year's seven episodes by +32% among households and +17% among total viewers.
