NEW YORK - May 22, 2013 - Oxygen Media scored its highest rated night in network history among all key demos fueled by the powerhouse combination of "Bad Girls All Star Battle" and "Bad Girls Club" Atlanta. In primetime, Oxygen ranked as the #1 cable network among women 18-49 and women 18-34, out delivering CBS. Furthermore, "Bad Girls Club" and "Bad Girls All Star Battle" were the #1 and #2 cable telecasts of the day among women 18-49 and women 18-34. Dominating the conversation online as well, "Bad Girls Club" and "Bad Girls All Star Battle" ranked as the #1 and #2 most tweeted about series yesterday across all of broadcast and cable.
Hosted by actor, musician and heartthrob Ray J, "Bad Girls All Star Battle" earned the network's highest season premiere ever, scoring 1.7 million total viewers, according to Nielsen. In addition, last night's episode delivered Oxygen's highest rated series premiere ever among total viewers, adults 18-49 (1 million) and women 18-49 (814,000). Compared to the prior four week time period average, the series premiere marked impressive triple digit growth up 264 percent among adults 18-49, 263 percent among total viewers, and 249 percent among women 18-49. Beginning Tuesday, May 28, "Bad Girls All Star Battle" will move to its regular time at 8 PM ET/PT.
Adding to the night's success, the third and final installment of the "Bad Girls Club" Atlanta reunion delivered a season high with 2 million total viewers, 1.2 million adults 18-49 and 919,000 women 18-49. Compared to last weeks' premiere, the episode was up double digits with 33 percent among total viewers, 29 percent among adults 18-49 and 20 percent among women 18-49. Driven by the ratings success, the network recently greenlight season 11 of "Bad Girls Club," which will return to Miami airing on Tuesdays this summer.
Last night on the super-sized 90-minute premiere, 14 of the most memorable girls in "Bad Girls Club" history squared off in a series of outrageous physical and mental challenges. Right out of the gate, these fan favorites put it all on the line competing in the Captain's Challenge "Back Off Bad Girl," where Flo and Rocky rose to the top in the first individual competition and received immunity. In the Team Challenge, "Bad Girls Boot Camp," the purple team's strategy to throw the competition backfired leading to an epic showdown between Natalie and her team. During an explosive elimination round, Shannon and Rocky, aka ShanRock, chose to peace out and quit from competition while Natalie and Mehgan faced the chopping block. Ultimately, the pink team decided that Mehgan did not have what it takes to battle it out for "Baddest Bad Girl Of All Time."
On next week's episode of "Bad Girls All Star Battle," premiering Tuesday, May 28 at 8PM ET/PT, feelings of distrust arise amongst the Bad Girls after Natalie and Mehgan's blowup at the last elimination. Both teams' strategies are put to the test when they must navigate through a maze while handcuffed and blindfolded in an intense Team Challenge. For a sneak peek, click here.
