TNT's Most-Viewed NBA Telecast Ever & Top NBA Game This Season Across All Television

Network's 2013 NBA Eastern Conference Finals Coverage Up 8% vs. 2012

TNT's exclusive presentation of the 2013 NBA Eastern Conference Finals Game 7 between the Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers delivered a 7.1 U.S. HH rating and 11.5 million total viewers, based on Nielsen Fast Nationals, to become the third highest-rated and third most-viewed program in the history of the network. Last night's Game 7 ranks as TNT's highest-rated and most-viewed NBA telecast in the network's 29-year history with the league and is the highest-rated and most-viewed NBA game across all of television (broadcast and cable) this year.

Last night's Game 7 - decidedly won by the Heat 99-76 - propelled TNT to win the night in prime time, based on metered market ratings. TNT registered the top metered market rated program each night throughout the 2013 NBA Eastern Conference Finals. The Game 7 telecast peaked with an average of 13.1 million total viewers from 10-10:30 p.m. ET. Locally, the game averaged a 31.7 HH rating in Miami and a 21.9 HH rating in Indianapolis. Miami is the 16th largest DMA among the 56 metered markets (in household reach) with Indianapolis ranking 24th.

Following Game 7, TNT's Sports Emmy Award-winning Inside the NBA averaged a 3.3 HH rating - based on metered market ratings - to record its highest-rated and most-viewed show since 2011 (May 26 - 3.9 U.S. HH rating).

This year's NBA Eastern Conference Finals averaged 8.4 million total viewers, an increase of 8% compared with the network's coverage of the 2012 NBA Western Conference Finals. The corresponding 5.2 U.S. HH rating is up 4% over last year's 5.0 average rating. TNT's coverage of this year's Eastern Conference Finals led the network to win the night for each game telecast among broadcast and cable networks across all core male demos. The network also won the night across cable each night among U.S. HH rating, households and key adult and male demos.

Additional highlights:

The NBA Playoffs on TNT averaged a 1.9 rating among P18-49 on game nights, out-delivering all networks in the key demo throughout May Sweeps.

TNT aired the top five highest-rated and most-viewed 2013 NBA Playoff games to date and eight of the top 10 across broadcast and cable.

The 2013 NBA Playoffs on TNT generated 28.5 million total comments by 15.7 million authors (up 20% and 29%, respectively, vs. last year) across all social media platforms.
