For the fourth consecutive week, Hallmark Channel's original scripted series, "Cedar Cove", is #1 in its Saturday primetime time period (8-9p). The August 10 one-hour episode delivered a 2.0 household rating with over 2 million total viewers and ranked as the #1 program of the day on cable among households. The solid audience for the new "Cedar Cove" episode provided a strong lead-in for the premiere of the Hallmark Channel original movie, "Reading, Writing & Romance", which was the #1 cable movie on Saturday and garnered a 1.5 household rating with 1.5 million total viewers.

"Cedar Cove" was #1 in household delivery, making Hallmark Channel the most watched network on cable in the 8-9p period among total viewers (2,074,000). In W25-54, "Cedar Cove" averaged 296,000 viewers. In addition, "Cedar Cove" placed #1 in household rating for the time period and among the top 10 for key demo ratings, including #2 in P2+ (1.0 rtg) and #3 in W25-54 (.7 rtg). In "Cedar Cove: Suspicious Minds", Bob (Boxleitner) and Peggy (Niven) Beldon must deal with a mysterious death at their Bed and Breakfast as the Cedar Cove gossip mill begins buzzing with the news. Jack (Neal) is quick to begin covering the story for the Chronicle - even in the midst of rising tensions between him and Olivia (MacDowell) about Eric's (guest star Tom Stevens) bad attitude. Meanwhile, Justine (Smyth) is on the verge of a new career when she gets a chance to show her work at the local Art Walk. Stars Andie MacDowell, Dylan Neal, Bruce Boxleitner, Barbara Niven, and Sarah Smyth.

Commercial actor Wayne Wenders (Mabius) takes a job as a substitute teacher in "Reading, Writing & Romance" to make ends meet while he waits for his big break, but he soon finds himself enjoying the job and finding his leading lady. When his big break finally does come along, he has to break promises and hearts in his new life. Are his dreams of stardom are really worth sacrificing everything?
