UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - August 20, 2013 - NBC has tied for #2 in adults 18-49 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox for the primetime week of August 12-18, led by the Tuesday edition of "America's Got Talent," which tied for #1 for the week among those networks in adults 18-49. According to "live plus same day" ratings from Nielsen Media Research, NBC averaged a 1.1 rating, 3 share in 18-49 and 4.1 million viewers overall for the week.

The Tuesday and Wednesday editions of "America's Got Talent" also accounted for the week's #1 ratings on the Big-4 networks in kids 2-11 (with a 1.5 rating for the Wednesday edition) and teens 12-17 (2.0 on Tuesday).

Top-rated NBC shows for the week of August 12-18 in adults 18-49 include: Tuesday's "Talent" (tied for #1), Wednesday's "Talent" (tied for #5), Monday's "American Ninja Warrior" (tied for #10), Monday's "Get Out Alive with Bear Grylls" (tied for #14), Friday's "Dateline NBC" (tied for #17), Wednesday's "Talent" encore (tied for #17) and Thursday's "Hollywood Game Night" (tied for #20).

Primetime averages for the week of August 12-18 in adults 18-49 are: Fox, 1.3/4; CBS, 1.1/4; NBC, 1.1/3; ABC, 1.0/3; and CW, 0.3/1. In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: CBS, 5.4 million; ABC, 4.1 million; NBC, 4.1 million; Fox, 3.7 million; and CW, 1.0 million.

Averages for the 2012-13 Broadcast Year to date are: CBS, 2.4/7; Fox, 2.2/7; NBC, 2.1/6; ABC, 2.0/6; and CW, 0.6/2. In overall total viewers, the season averages are: CBS, 10.3 million; ABC, 7.2 million; NBC, 6.6 million; Fox, 6.2 million; and CW, 1.6 million.

For the 2012-13 broadcast year to date, NBC is running within a tenth of a rating point of #2 and within 0.3 of a point of #1 in adults 18-49, and ranks #2 in adults 25-54 and adults 18-34.

NBC highlights for the week of August 12-18:

Monday: "American Ninja Warrior" (1.6 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49, 5.1 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) jumped 14% week to week in 18-49 rating (to a 1.6 from a 1.4) to hit a three-week high, the show's best since a 1.6 on July 22 and matching its best since debuting with a 1.7 on July 1. "American Ninja Warrior" grew half-hour to half-hour by 20% (to a 1.8 from a 1.5) and has now grown half-hour to half-hour by at least 0.2 of a point with six of six telecasts this summer.

"Get Out Alive with Bear Grylls" (1.4/4 in 18-49, 3.7 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) grew week to week for a second week in a row, up 8% versus the prior week's 1.3 and up 17% versus a 1.2 for the week before that. "Get Out Alive" matched its top rating since debuting with a 1.5 on July 8. "Get Out Alive" has delivered the best or tied for the best week-one, week-two, week-three, week-four, week-five and week-six ratings so far this summer for any new reality series on those networks.

"Siberia" (0.7/2 in adults 18-49, 1.8 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) was up a tenth of a rating point or 17% versus the prior week's 0.6 in 18-49.

Tuesday: NBC ranked #1 for the night in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures, led by the #1 show of the night, "America's Got Talent" (2.4/7 in 18-49, 8.8 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET). "Talent" topped the #2 telecast on those nets in 18-49 by an 85% margin (with a 2.4 from 9-11 p.m. vs. the 1.3 from 8-10 for Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance"). In the 9-11 p.m. time period, "Talent" is #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC and Fox in every key ratings measure.

An encore telecast of "Hollywood Game Night" (1.1/4 in 18-49 3.6 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) matched NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the time period in eight weeks (since June 18, "America's Got Talent").

Wednesday: NBC ranked #1 Wednesday night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in total viewers with the #1 show of the night on those networks in total viewers and adults, men and women 25-54, "America's Got Talent" (2.1/6 in 18-49, 9.5 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET). Versus the same night last year, "Talent" finished within 0.2 of a rating point in 18-49 (with a 2.1 rating vs. a 2.3 on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012) and was up 12% in total viewers (9.5 million vs. 8.5 million).

"Camp" (1.0/3 in adults 18-49, 3.8 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) finished within a tenth of a point of the slot lead among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and was #1 among those networks in men 18-49 and 25-54. In its first six weeks, "Camp" has earned NBC's top six 18-49 and total-viewer results in the slot, excluding Stanley Cup Hockey coverage, since May 22.

Thursday: "Hollywood Game Night" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 3.4 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in the time period in adults 18-49 and is #1 or tied for #1 in all other key demographics. "Hollywood Game Night" has now won its slot among ABC, CBS and NBC for all six telecasts to date in 18-49.

"Hollywood Game Night" was up week to week by 9% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.2 from a 1.1) and matched its highest 18-49 rating since July 25.

Friday: NBC finished #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in total viewers and was the top-rated Big 4 net, excluding sports, in adults 18-49, led by an encore "Dateline NBC" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 5.6 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET), the night's #1 show on the Big 4 in total viewers and the #1 non-sports show on those networks in 18-49. In the time period, "Dateline" was the #1 non-sports telecast on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49, 25-54 and total viewers, making this the eighth week in a row "Dateline" has ranked #1 or tied for #1, excluding sports, in its Friday time period among those networks in all three categories.

"Dateline NBC" matched its highest ratings for a Friday telecast in 18-49 and 25-54 since May 31.

Saturday: NBC Sports' coverage of "Visa Championship" Gymnastics (0.6/2 in 18-49, 2.3 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) tied for #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in the time period in adults 18-49.

Sunday: An encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" (0.5/2 in 18-49, 2.5 million viewers overall from 7-9 p.m. ET) grew 7% week to week in total viewers (2.5 million vs. 2.4 million). In total viewers, the "Talent" rebroadcast grew by 35% from its first half-hour to its fourth (to 3.0 million from 2.2 million).
