TBS Scores Across-the-Board Growth on Strength of "Sullivan & Son," "Deal With It" and "The Big Bang Theory"
TBS Continues to Reign as Basic Cable's #1 Network in
Primetime Delivery of Adults 18-34 and 18-49 for the Year-to-Date
TBS has chalked up solid growth this summer, driven by strong performances from its original sitcom Sullivan & Son, its new hit Deal With It and basic cable's #1 off-net comedy, The Big Bang Theory. TBS continues to rank as basic cable's #1 network in primetime delivery of adults 18-34 and adults 18-49 for the year-to-date. For the summer, TBS is on pace to finish as basic cable's #1 full-time network in primetime with adults 18-34 (#2 behind Adult Swim among all basic cable networks).
Compared to last summer, TBS is charting primetime gains of +6% among total viewers, +7% among adults 18-49 and +11% among adults 18-34.
TBS's hit original comedy Sullivan & Son has performed extremely well in its second season, averaging 2.4 million viewers in Live + 7 delivery. Among key demos, Sullivan & Son has averaged 1.3 million adults 18-49 and 625,000 adults 18-34.
TBS's new hidden-camera hit Deal With It has gotten off to a terrific start, drawing 2.3 million viewers in its first season, as well as, 1.2 million adults 18-49 and 602,000 adults 18-34.
The Big Bang Theory on TBS continues to reign as basic cable's #1 off-net comedy among total viewers and adults 18-49.
In the second half of 2013, TBS will launch three new series. Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT), D.L. Hughley and Michael Ian Black will headline the new game show Trust Me, I'm a Game Show Host. TBS will expand its late-night lineup with The Pete Holmes Show, which will follow CONAN Monday-Thursday at midnight (ET/PT), beginning Oct. 28. And in November, TBS will launch Ground Floor, the new sitcom created by Emmy(R) nominees Bill Lawrence (Cougar Town, Scrubs, Clone High) and Greg Malins (2 Broke Girls, How I Met Your Mother), and starring Skylar Astin (Pitch Perfect), Briga Heelan (Cougar Town) and John C. McGinley (Scrubs). Ground Floor is set to premiere Thursday, Nov. 14, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT).
