Wednesday's Broadcast Ratings: ABC, CBS & FOX All Share Demo Prize

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (10/16/13):

CBS (10.089 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.4, #T1), ABC (7.483 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.4, #T1) and FOX (8.060 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.4, #T1) all shared the top spot on Wednesday as the latter served up coverage of the "ALCS, Game 4" (8.060 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.4, #5).

The Eye then offered up originals from "Survivor: Blood vs. Water" (9.889 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.5, #4), "Criminal Minds" (10.947 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.7, #3) and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (9.431 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.0, #7).

Next up was the Alphabet which got a boost from "Toy Story of Terror!" (10.286 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 3.0, #2) alongside new episodes of "Back in the Game" (6.236 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.8, #8), "Modern Family" (10.848 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 4.0, #1), "Super Fun Night" (6.021 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 2.1, #6) and "Nashville" (5.753 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T9).

Meanwhile, NBC (5.891 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #4) served up fresh installments of "Revolution" (5.385 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.4, #11), "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (7.376 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T9) and "Ironside" (4.913 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T12).

And finally, week two of "Arrow" (3.019 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T12) and "The Tomorrow People" (2.159 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.8, #14) on The CW (2.589 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #5) closed out the night. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Arrow" delivered a 0.9 rating while "Tomorrow" posted a 0.6 rating.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.7/4 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.6/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/4.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.2/4 in metered-market households with an encore) trailed CBS's original "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.5/5). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49 with an encore) tied "Late Late Show" (0.4/3).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

CBS (10.81 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.7, #1) slipped into the top spot on Wednesday with its mix of "Survivor: Philippines" (10.11 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.7, #4), "Criminal Minds" (11.78 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 3.1, #2) and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (10.56 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.4, #7).

ABC (8.01 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.6, #2) then was a competitive second place with its lineup of "The Middle" (8.35 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.5, #6), "The Neighbors" (6.50 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.9, #T10), "Modern Family" (12.14 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.6, #1), the return of "Suburgatory" (7.60 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.8, #3) and week two of "Nashville" (6.75 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 2.0, #9).

FOX (5.53 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.9, #3) then offered up its combination of (half-hour results only) "MLB Rain Delay/Ben & Kate" (4.92 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T12), "Ben & Kate/MLB Rain Delay/The X Factor" (5.43 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.9, #T10), "The X Factor" (7.25 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 2.6, #5), "The X Factor/The Mindy Project/NLCS, Game 3" (6.50 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 2.3, #8), "NLCS, Game 3" (5.04 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T12) and "NLCS, Game 3/Various" (4.04 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 1.2, #18).

Next up was NBC (5.42 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.5, #4) with new episodes of "Animal Practice" (3.80 million viewers, #18; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T19), "Guys With Kids" (4.29 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 1.4, #16) and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (6.31 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T12) alongside week two of "Chicago Fire" (5.91 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.5, #15).

And finally, week two of "Arrow" (3.48 million viewers, #19; adults 18-49: 1.3, #17) and a new "Supernatural" (2.19 million viewers, #20; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T19) on The CW (2.83 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #5) finished out the night.
