"The Voice" and "The Blacklist" Deliver the Night's #1 and #2 Ratings in 18-49 on the Big 4 Networks
NBC spins the numbers for Monday, October 21.

Monday Results (CBS carried the Vikings-Giants NFL telecast in Minneapolis and CW carried the game in New York):

"The Voice" and "The Blacklist" delivered the night's #1 and #2 ratings in 18-49 on the Big 4 networks. NBC is #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC & Fox in all key categories for a fifth week in a row, pending updates, winning six of six half-hours in 18-49 among those nets, also for a fifth week in a row. NBC is winning the night among the Big 4 by a 73% margin in 18-49 (with a 3.8 rating vs. a 2.2 for #2 CBS).

· From 8-10:01 p.m. ET, "The Voice" (4.2 rating, 11 share in adults 18-49, 13.4 million viewers overall) is currently winning the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in every key ratings category, pending updates. "The Voice" is currently #1 for the night on those networks in 18-49, total viewers and other key categories. "The Voice" is running within 7% of last week's 4.5 in 18-49 and is within 3% of last week's 13.781 million in total viewers.

· "The Voice" (4.2/11) grew steadily and significantly throughout its two-hour time period, with this track in 18-49: 3.7, 4.0, 4.2, 4.8. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "The Voice" increased by 30% or 1.1 rating points in 18-49 rating (to a 4.8 from a 3.7) and by 19% or 2.3 million persons in total viewers (14.8 million vs. 12.5 million).

· From 10:01-11 p.m. ET, "The Blacklist" (3.0/8 in adults 18-49, 10.6 million viewers overall) is #1 in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key demographic, with an adult 18-49 margin of 58% versus ABC's #2 "Castle" (3.0 vs. 1.9).

· "The Blacklist" is currently matching last week's rating in 18-49 (3.0 vs. 3.0) and is running within 3% of last week's audience in total viewers (10.566 million vs. 10.928 million). And note that last week's "Blacklist" added 49% to its 18-49 rating in "live plus three day" results and 4.1 million persons in total viewers (see details below).

· Versus NBC's averages in the slot last season, "The Blacklist" is up 50% in 18-49 (3.0 vs. 2.0, L+SD non-sports) and up 84% in total viewers (10.566 million vs. 5.746 million).

· "Live Plus Three Day": "The Blacklist" added 49% or 1.50 of a point to its next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating (to a 4.54 in L+3 from a 3.04 in L+SD) and in total viewers, added 38% or 4.138 million persons (15.066 million vs. 10.928 million). In L+3, "Blacklist" was up slightly week to week in 18-49 (to a 4.54 from the prior week's 4.53).

· "Live Plus Seven Day": The Sept. 30 episode of "The Blacklist" set a new record for biggest "live plus seven day" lift, becoming the first broadcast network show to add more than 6 million viewers when going from its "live plus same day" audience to its "live plus seven day" result. The Sept. 30 telecast of "Blacklist" averaged 17.858 million viewers in L+7 figures, an increase of 6.504 million or 57% versus its 11.354 million in L+SD. That 6.504 million lift tops the previous record set the prior week by CBS's "Big Bang Theory" (5.705 million). Week two of "The Blacklist" retained 98% of its premiere-week viewership in L+7 (17.858 million vs. 18.279 million). This episode of "The Blacklist" also set the record for biggest jump from L+SD to "live plus three day," 5.081 million viewers, and was the first broadcast show to grow by 5 million viewers or more in L+3.

· In adults 18-49, week two of "The Blacklist" rose from a 3.29 rating in "live plus same day" to a 5.49 in "live plus seven day," a lift of 2.20 rating points or 67%. Week two of "The Blacklist" retained 100% of its premiere rating in "live plus seven day" 18-49 results (5.49 in week two vs. 5.49 in week one, L+7) and is the only debuting series so far this season to maintain its 18-49 rating from week one to week two in L+7.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 3.1/8; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.9/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.2/6.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.9/4; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/5 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.5/6 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
