For the First Time in Eight Years, NBC Is #1 in 18-49 on Each of the First Five Tuesdays of the Season
NBC spins the numbers for Tuesday, October 22.

Tuesday Results:

NBC is currently leading Tuesday night in 18-49 with the #1 show of the night in 18-49, "The Voice." For the first time in eight years, NBC is #1 in 18-49 on each of the first five Tuesdays of the season among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox.

· "The Biggest Loser" (2.0/6 in 18-49, 6.6 viewers overall from 8-9 p.m.) is currently retaining 91% of last week's 2.2 premiere rating in these preliminary fast-affiliate ratings and retaining 87% of last week's 2.3 in official nationals. From its first half-hour to its second, "Loser" is growing by 11% in 18-49 rating (to a 2.1 from a 1.9) and 8% in total viewers (6.9 million vs. 6.4 million). "Biggest Loser" is running within 9% of its 18-49 average for last season (2.0 vs. 2.2, L+SD) and is up 9% versus its 2012-13 season average in total viewers (6.636 million vs. 6.066 million).

· In women 18-34, "The Biggest Loser" ranks #1 in the hour among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, and in women 18-49 and 25-54, "Loser" ranks #2 among those nets.

· "The Voice" (4.0/11 in 18-49, 12,8 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) is currently up 3% versus last week's 3.9 in these preliminary fast-affiliate ratings and is matching last week's 4.0 in official nationals. In total viewers, "Voice" is also up versus last week's prelim 12.690 million while running within 1% of last week's 12.993 million in official nationals.

· "The Voice" is #1 in the time period in adults 18-49 and all other key demographics and is the #1 show of the night in 18-49 and other key demos.

· "Chicago Fire" (2.1/6 in 18-49, 7.6 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) is up 17% versus its 1.8 during the same week last year on Wednesday night, and up versus last year in total viewers by 18% (7.586 million vs. 6.421 million on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012). Note that last week's "Chicago Fire" rating grew by 41% in "live plus three day" ratings (to a 3.28 from a 2.32, see details below).

· "Chicago Fire" is currently running within a tenth of a rating point of the slot lead among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and is #1 among those nets in adults 18-34 and all key adult-female demos.

· L+3: Last week's "Chicago Fire" added 41% or 0.96 of a point to its next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating (to a 3.28 in L+3 from a 2.32 in L+SD) and in total viewers, added 34% or 2.775 million persons (10.857 million vs. 8.082 million). L+7: In week 2, "Chicago Fire" added 48% or 1.26 rating points to its L+SD 18-49 rating (3.90 vs. 2.64) and in total viewers, added 42% or 3.649 million persons (12.392 million vs. 8.743 million).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.8/8; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.6/7 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.8/5.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.9/5; "Late Show," 0.6/3 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/4 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.4/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.3/5 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2 with an encore).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated. Season figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."
