Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC, "Voice" Edge CBS, "NCIS" for Demo Crown

Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (11/12/13):

NBC (8.501 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.5, #1) inched out another demo victory on Tuesday with its mix of "The Biggest Loser 15" (6.303 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.9, #7), "The Voice" (11.406 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 3.4, #1) and "Chicago Fire" (7.793 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.2, #T4).

CBS (15.478 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.4, #2) then was a close second place with originals from "NCIS" (19.186 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.9, #2), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (14.745 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.4, #3) and "Person of Interest" (12.502 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.0, #6).

Next up was ABC (4.648 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3) with fresh installments of "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (6.625 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.2, #T4), "The Goldbergs" (5.184 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T8), "Trophy Wife" (3.813 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T12) and "Scandal for Real: The Top 10 Political Scandals of the Century" (2.820 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.8, #16).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.094 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #4) served up new episodes of "Dads" (3.160 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T12), "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (3.278 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.4, #10), "New Girl" (3.325 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T8) and "The Mindy Project" (2.615 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 1.3, #11).

And finally, "The Originals" (2.378 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 1.1, #14) and "Supernatural" (2.348 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 1.0, #15) closed out the night on The CW (2.363 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #5). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Originals" delivered a 1.5 rating while "Supernatural" posted a 1.2 rating.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.9/5; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/4.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.5/6 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.3/5). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 17 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (11/13/12):

NBC (7.09 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.6, #1) clinged to the demo crown on Tuesday with the post-election returns of "The Voice" (10.98 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 3.8, #1), "Go On" (6.32 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.3, #4), "The New Normal" (4.75 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.8, #T7) and "Parenthood" (4.74 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.8, #T7).

CBS (14.32 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.5, #2) then was the most-watched network with its mix of "NCIS" (16.89 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.0, #2) - its season low, "NCIS: Los Angeles" (15.68 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.8, #3) - tied as its season low - and "Vegas" (10.41 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T10) - tied as its lowest rating to date.

Next up was FOX (3.47 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.7, #3) with its comedy quartet of "Raising Hope" (3.82 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T10), "Ben & Kate" (2.48 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T13), "New Girl" (4.34 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 2.2, #5) and "The Mindy Project" (3.23 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.7, #9).

Meanwhile, ABC (6.52 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #4) served up originals from "Dancing with the Stars" (11.95 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.9, #6), "Happy Endings" (4.75 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.4, #12) - tied as its season low, "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" (3.18 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T13) - its series low - and "Private Practice" (3.66 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T13) - its series low.
