Disney Channel -- 2013

For 2013, Disney Channel followed up on last year's first-ever Total Day sweep, ranking as TV's #1 network for the 2nd consecutive year among Kids 2-11 - the largest advertiser-targeted segment - for the 3rd straight year among Kids 6-11 and for the 5th year in a row among Tweens 9-14 with a strong portfolio of original live action and animated programs. They include the #1 TV series ("Jessie," "Austin & Ally," "Shake It Up"), the #1 animated TV series ("Phineas and Ferb") and the #1 cable TV telecast ("Teen Beach Movie").

2013 stood as Disney Channel's #1 year in the network's 30-year history in Tweens 9-14 and its #2 year on record in Total Viewers. Competitively, the network - which accepts select sponsorships - out-shined runner up, Nickelodeon, by its largest margin on record among Kids 6-11 and Tweens.

In Primetime, Disney Channel was at #1 for the 9th consecutive year in Kids 2-11, 11th in Kids 6-11 and 13th in Tweens 9-14, and placed among the Top 2 cable TV networks in Total Viewers for the 8th-straight year.

· TV's #1 network in Total Day for the 2nd straight year in Kids 2-11 (937,000/2.4 rating), 3rd in Kids 6-11 (628,000/2.7 rating) and 5th in Tweens 9-14 (554,000/2.3 rating). In Total Viewers, Disney Channel tied Nickelodeon as cable TV's #1 network in Total Viewers (0.6 rating), pacing a mere 3% shy based on 000s (1.724 million vs. 1.769 million).

· Towered over Nickelodeon by a best-ever 36% in Kids 6-11 (628,000 vs. 462,000) and by 80% in Tweens 9-14 (554,000 vs. 307,000).

· #1 TV network in Prime for the 9th-consecutive year in Kids 2-11 (1.4 million/3.4 rating, 2005 - 2013), 11th in Kids 6-11 (1.0 million/4.3 rating, 2003 - 2013) and 13th in Tweens (879,000/3.7 rating, 2001 - 2013); ranked among cable TV's Top 2 networks in Prime for the 8th-consecutive year in Total Viewers (2.438 million, 2006 - 2013).

· The #1 cable TV telecast of the year across all major youth demos, "Teen Beach Movie," another mega hit from the blockbuster Disney Channel Original Movie franchise, became the #2 telecast in cable TV history in Kids 2-11 (7.9 million/20.0 rating), Kids 6-11 (6.4 million/27.0 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (5.1 million/21.5 rating), behind only "High School Musical 2." Moreover, this marked the network's 12th consecutive year with #1 original movie telecast in Tweens (2002-2013).

· "Jessie" stood as TV's #1 series in Kids 2-11 (2.3 million/5.7 rating) and Kids 6-11 (1.8 million/7.7 rating), while "Austin & Ally" and "Shake It Up" were the Top 2 TV series in Tweens 9-14 (1.6 million/6.9 rating). Notably, this marked Disney Channel's 8th-consecutive year with the #1 cable TV series in Kids 6-11 and Tweens.

· Emmy-Award-winning "Phineas and Ferb" was TV's #1 animated series across Kids 2-11 (2.0 million/4.9 rating), Kids 6-11 (1.5 million/6.3 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (1.2 million/4.8 rating). 2013 marked Disney Channel's 6th-consecutive year delivering the #1 animated TV series in Tweens 9-14, and the 6th straight year with the #1 animated TV series in Prime in Kids 6-11.

· Overall, Disney Channel aired the Top 9 TV series in Kids 2-11, and Top 8 in 6-11 and Tweens (Top 5 below):

Disney Junior on Disney Channel -- 2013

In its third year, Disney Junior, the daily programming block for kids age 2-7 on Disney Channel, delivered its biggest year on record in the daypart in Total Viewers (1.5 million), Kids 2-5 (3.2 rating), Girls 2-5 (281,000/3.6 rating) and Women 18-49 (322,000/0.5 rating). Notably, this marked the network's 5th-consecutive year growing its Total Viewer and Women 18-49 audiences, and 3rd in Girls 2-5.

· "Sofia the First: The Floating Palace" (11/24/13) became the #2 telecast in cable TV history among Kids 2-5 (2.63 million/16.9 rating) and Girls 2-5 (1.85 million/24.3 rating), and the #2 preschool cable TV telecast ever in Total Viewers (7.62 million), Adults 18-49 (2.15 million/1.7 rating) and Women 18-49 (1.43 million/2.2 rating), behind only last year's, "Sofia the First: Once Upon a Princess."

· "Sofia the First" ranked as TV's #1 series in Girls 2-5 (420,000/5.4 rating), cable TV's #2 series in Kids 2-5 (681,000/4.3 rating) and the #1 preschool cable TV series in Total Viewers (2.0 million) and Women 18-49 (393,000/0.6 rating). Moreover, led by "Sofia the First: The Floating Palace," the series accounted for 5 of cable TV's Top 10 telecasts of the year in Kids 2-5, and 17 of the Top 20 TV telecasts in Girls 2-5.

24-Hour Disney Junior channel -- 2013

In its first year reporting public ratings, 24-hour Disney Junior channel ranked as the #1 preschool-dedicated TV network in Total Day in Total Viewers (407,000), across target Kids 2-5 (204,000/1.3 rating), Girls 2-5 (94,000/1.2 rating) and Boys 2-5 (110,000/1.4 rating) and Women 18-49 (81,000), towering over Nick Jr. by double digits and Sprout by triple digits.

· Disney Junior channel exceeded Nick Jr. by double digits, across the board: Total Viewers (+23% - 407,000 vs. 332,000), Kids 2-5 (+25% - 204,000 vs. 163,000), Girls 2-5 (+12% - 94,000 vs. 84,000), Boys 2-5 (+39% - 110,000 vs. 79,000), and Women 18-49 (+21% - 81,000 vs. 67,000), despite being in 12.8 million fewer homes.

· Disney Junior channel surpassed Sprout by triple digits across target demos: Total Viewers (+159% - 407,000 vs. 157,000), Kids 2-5 (+191% - 204,000 vs. 70,000), Girls 2-5 (+141% - 94,000 vs. 39,000), Boys 2-5 (+255% - 110,000 vs. 31,000) and Women 18-49 (+131% - 81,000 vs. 35,000).
