Monday Night (8:00-11:00 p.m. - 10.1 million and 3.4/10 in AD18-49):

ABC hit a season high and won Monday night in Adults 18-49, beating NBC with "The Voice" and the series debut of "Believe" (3.4/10 vs. 3.3/10).

· ABC's "The Bachelor: After the Final Rose" (10:00-11:00 p.m.) stood as Monday's No. 1 TV show in Adults 18-49, upsetting NBC's "The Voice" (3.8/11 vs. 3.7/11). Earning a strong second from 8:00-10:00 p.m. to NBC's "The Voice," ABC's "The Bachelor" finale spiked week to week in Total Viewers (+17%) and Adults 18-49 (+39%) to deliver season highs on both counts. The Bachelor won its 2-hour time period over "The Voice" in Adults 18-34 and key Women (W18-34/W18-49). Please Note: Last year's finale did not face "The Voice." "The Bachelor: After the Final Rose" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 11.0 million and 3.8/11 in AD18-49):

Building on its lead-in (+19%) in the 10:00 p.m. hour, ABC's "The Bachelor: After the Final Rose" dominated NBC's series debut of "Believe" by 41% in Adults 18-49 (3.8/11 vs. 2.7/8). The ABC special was up year to year in Total Viewers (+2% - 10.8 million on 3/11/13) and held steady in Adults 18-49, drawing its biggest overall audience in 3 years - since 2011.

A note about increasing DVR penetration and year-to-year rating comparisons: Year-to-year rating comparisons based on the Live + Same Day data stream are distorted by the level of DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample, which has jumped up to 49% currently, from 47% at the same point in 2013. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which may not be reflected in the overnight next day numbers. The only truly valid year-to-year comparison would be one based on the Live + 7 Day metric, once those stats are released by Nielsen.
