Thursday Primetime Results:
· "Community" (1.1/4 in adults 18-49, 3.5 million viewers overall from 8-8:30 p.m. ET) rose to its highest 18-49 rating since Jan. 30 (1.1, and matched its highest since Jan. 9). In total viewers, it was the top "Community" since Jan. 9. Week to week, "Community" was up 10% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.1 from a 1.0) and up 25% in total viewers (3.456 million vs. 2.773 million).
· In adults 18-34, "Community" finished within a tenth of a rating point of #1 in the time period among the Big 4 nets (1.0 rating vs. a 1.1 for "Hell's Kitchen"), pending updates.
· "Parks and Recreation" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 3.1 million viewers overall from 8:30-9:01 p.m. ET) is up a tenth of a rating point in adults 18-49 versus last week's preliminary 1.1 in these fast nationals and is even with last week's 1.2 in official nationals. In total viewers, "Parks" was up week to week by 14% to deliver its biggest audience since Jan. 9. "Parks" built on its "Community" lead-in by 9% in 18-49.
· In adults 18-34, "Parks" finished within a tenth of a rating point of #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox (1.1 rating vs. a 1.2 for "Hell's Kitchen"), pending updates.
· Despite airing an encore telecast this week, "Hollywood Game Night" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 2.9 million viewers overall from 9:01-10 p.m.) finished within a tenth of last week's 18-49 rating (1.0/3) and was up 2% in total viewers (2.949 million vs. 2.891 million). From its first half-hour to its second, "HGN" grew by 11% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.0 from a 0.9).
· "Parenthood" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) aired following an encore "Hollywood Game Night" for the first time, but still matched last week's 18-49 rating, equaling the show's high since Jan. 23, and was up 8% in total viewers (4.176 million vs. 3.874 million) to the biggest "Parenthood" overall audience since that same Jan. 23 telecast.
· Despite the 10 p.m. hour, "Parenthood" held steady or grew from half-hour to half-hour in every key measure, including gains of 8% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.3 rating from a 1.2), 7% in adults 25-54 (1.6 vs. 1.5) and 25% in adults 18-34 (1.0 vs. 0.8).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Thursday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.4/8; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.2/4 with an encore delayed by basketball; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.7/7.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "Tonight," 1.1/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore delayed by basketball; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.0/5.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.7/5 in metered-market households and a 0.6/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.5/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (0.7/3 with an encore delayed by basketball). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2 with an encore delayed by basketball).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
