DIY NETWORK DELIVERS HIGHEST MAY AUDIENCE IN ITS HISTORY
'The Vanilla Ice Project' Among Series That Saw Audience Gains
NEW YORK [For Immediate Release - June 4, 2014] DIY Network achieved its highest May standard prime average audience in its history among P25-54, garnering 88,000 impressions. The network also delivered its largest monthly average audience ever for the weekend daypart, averaging 123,000 P25-54 impressions In fact, the weekend of May 10 delivered 139,000 P25-54 impressions - the network's second largest weekend audience ever among that group. Series such as Rehab Addict, Vanilla Ice Project and Yard Crashers continue to be strong performers, with newcomer Stone Age delivering a solid audience in May.
DIY Network's popular The Vanilla Ice Project, starring pop icon Vanilla Ice, a.k.a. Rob VanWinkle, attracted 4.5 million viewers and ended a fourth highly successful season by growing 7% versus the prior season among P18-49 ratings. The series also delivered a 45% improvement to the Saturday 10 p.m. time period compared to year ago levels among P18-49 ratings. During its run, The Vanilla Ice Project was the #1 prime program on DIY Network among M18-49 and #2 among W25-54 and W18-49. The 13-episode arc premiered on Saturday, March 8 at 10 p.m. ET/PT and showcased Vanilla Ice as he renovated an outdated mansion on high-dollar lakefront property in Florida to flip it for profit.
The sophomore season of Vanilla Ice's second series for DIY Network, Vanilla Ice Goes Amish, will premiere in October.
