Monday's Broadcast Ratings: FOX Claims Top Spot with "MasterChef," "Hotel Hell"

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (7/21/14):

FOX (4.925 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) was still the network to beat on Monday with a new "MasterChef" (5.811 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.1, #1) and the return of "Hotel Hell" (4.039 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T4).

ABC (5.735 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #2) then claimed the silver with originals from "The Bachelorette" (6.804 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.8, #3) and "Mistresses" (3.598 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T6).

Next up was NBC (4.907 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.6, #3) with an encore of "Last Comic Standing" (3.156 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #11) and a new "American Ninja Warrior" (5.783 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.9, #2).

Meanwhile, CBS (5.121 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #4) offered up repeats of "2 Broke Girls" (4.290 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T6), "Mom" (3.869 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #10), "Mike & Molly" (4.656 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T6) and "Two and a Half Men" (4.475 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T6) plus a new "Under the Dome" (6.717 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T4).

And finally, The CW (1.088 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) closed out the night with its revised lineup of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.789 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T12), another "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.664 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T12), "Seed" (0.489 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.2, #14) and "Backpackers" (0.410 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.2, #15). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), said quartet posted 0.4, 0.4, 0.2 and 0.2 rating, respectively.

CBS (6.803 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T1) was the most-watched network on Monday with its mix of "How I Met Your Mother" (4.098 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #8), "2 Broke Girls" (3.987 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T9), another "2 Broke Girls" (4.798 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T5), "Mike & Molly" (5.188 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T5) and "Under the Dome" (11.374 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.8, #1).

·In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.7/4; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2 with an encore.

·From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

·From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).

·At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
