Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: "America's Got Talent" Dominates the Competition

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (7/22/14):

NBC (8.408 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.0, #1) claimed top honors on Tuesday with the premiere of "Food Fighters" (4.550 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T2) followed by the relocated "America's Got Talent" (10.336 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.4, #1).

ABC (3.169 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #2) then claimed the silver with originals from "Extreme Weight Loss" (3.406 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) and "Celebrity Wife Swap" (2.696 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T5).

Next up was CBS (6.700 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3) with repeats of "NCIS" (8.586 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T2), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (6.512 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T5) and "Person of Interest" (5.001 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #8).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.251 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4) offered up second runs of "Family Guy" (1.877 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T5), "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (1.197 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T9), "The Mindy Project" (0.966 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T9) and another "The Mindy Project" (0.966 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #11).

And finally, repeats of "Arrow" (0.847 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #12) and "Supernatural" (0.662 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #13) on The CW (0.755 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the nighit. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Arrow" delivered a 0.2 rating while "Supernatural" posted a 0.2 rating.

NBC (7.923 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.2, #1) was of course the network to beat on Tuesday with a rebroadcast of "Hollywood Game Night" (3.404 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) followed by a new two-hour "America's Got Talent" (10.182 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.8, #1).

FOX (4.096 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2) then claimed the silver with a full night of "So You Think You Can Dance" (4.096 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2).

Next up was ABC (3.895 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) with an original "Extreme Weight Loss" (3.721 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) alongside a special "20/20" (4.243 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5).

Meanwhile, CBS (5.950 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) offered up repeats of "NCIS" (7.079 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (5.776 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T8) and "Person of Interest" (4.996 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T8).

·In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.9/4; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3 with an encore.

·From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

·From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.4/5 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).

·At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
