Wednesday Primetime Results:
NBC ranked #1 for the night in total viewers with the #1 show of the night by that measure, "America's Got Talent," and week-to-week gains for "Talent" (+6%) and "Taxi Brooklyn" (+29%).
· "America's Got Talent" (1.9/6 in 18-49, 10.1 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) equaled a four-week high for a Wednesday telecast in adult 18-49 rating (matching the show's best since a 2.0 on Aug. 6). It's also a four-week high in total viewers (since 10.123 million on Aug. 6). "Talent" is up week to week by +6% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.9 from a 1.8) and up +7% in total viewers (10.110 million vs. 9.462 million). "Talent" built by +73% on its lead-in from an 8 p.m. encore in 18-49 rating and grew by +59% in total viewers.
· "America's Got Talent" ranks #1 for the night in total viewers and won the time period among the Big 4 in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers
· "Taxi Brooklyn" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) jumped week to week by 0.2 of a point or +29% in 18-49 rating (to a 0.9 from a 0.7) and by +25% or 1.1 million persons in total viewers (5.528 million vs. 4.421 million). Versus a "Camp" original in this time period on the same night last year, "Taxi Brooklyn" is even in 18-49 rating (0.9 vs. 0.9)and is up +72% in total viewers (5.528 million vs. 3.211 million).
· "Taxi Brooklyn" hit a three-week high in 18-49 rating (best since a 0.9 on Aug. 13) and matched the show's best 18-49 score in five weeks (1.0 on July 30). The 0.9 rating puts "Taxi Brooklyn" within a tenth of a point of the series record and premiere rating in 18-49 (1.0).
· In total viewers, "Taxi Brooklyn" set a series record (5.528 million, pending updates, the prior record is the premiere's 5.338 million on June 25).
· An encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 6.4 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) grew versus last week's rebroadcast in this slot by +10% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.1 from a 1.0) and by +15% in total viewers (6.364 million vs. 5.548 million). The 8 p.m. encore attracted the biggest overall audience for a Wednesday "Talent" rebroadcast since June 2 (6.379 million). It was also the second-biggest overall audience among 10 "Talent" Wednesday encores so far this summer.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Wednesday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.7/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.9/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.7/5.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.0/5; "Late Show," 0.3/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (0.8/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
