"Thursday Night Football" on CBS and NFL Network Earns Overnight Ratings Increase of 87% Over Last Year

"THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL" ON CBS AND NFL NETWORK EARNS OVERNIGHT RATINGS INCREASE OF 87% OVER LAST YEAR

CBS and NFL Network's broadcast of THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL on September 25, which featured the N.Y. Giants' 45-14 victory over Washington, earned an overnight household rating/share in the 56 metered markets of 11.2/19, +87% from last year's comparable game on NFL Network and over-the-air-stations within the two team markets (6.0/11; San Francisco-St. Louis; September 26, 2013).

Last night's programming on CBS and NFL Network from 8:00-11:00 PM, ET averaged a primetime overnight HH rating/share of 10.7/18, +16% higher than last year's overnight HH rating/share of 9.2/15 for Premiere Week CBS primetime on Thursday, Sept. 26 (BIG BANG THEORY - 8:00 PM, BIG BANG THEORY - 8:31 PM, THE CRAZY ONES - 9:01 PM, TWO AND A HALF MEN - 9:31 PM, ELEMENTARY- 10:01 PM).

The 10.7/18 was the highest-rated Premiere Week Thursday since an 11.8/19 on September 27, 2007 (SURVIVOR CHINA - 8:00 PM, CSI - 9:00 PM, WITHOUT A TRACE - 10:01 PM) for CBS.

CBS/NFL Network's rating/share of 10.7/18 in primetime beat each of the broadcast networks: 27% higher than ABC (8.4/14), 269% higher than NBC (2.9/5) and 282% higher than FOX (2.8/4).

Last night's game HH rating/share peaked at 12.8/21 from 9:30-10:00 PM, ET.

THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL continues next week on October 2 with Minnesota at Green Bay.
