SAINTS' BLOWOUT WIN OVER PACKERS ON NBC'S "SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL" UP 11% FROM LAST YEAR'S GAME
SNF Wins Week in Adult 18-49 Demo
STAMFORD, Conn. - October 28, 2014 - The New Orleans Saints' three-touchdown victory over the Green Bay Packers on NBC's Sunday Night Football averaged 18.8 million viewers, an increase of 11% over last year's Week 8 SNF game (16.9 million for Packers-Vikings), which also faced a World Series game.
The 18.8 million viewers for Packers-Saints (8:31-11:18 p.m. ET) topped World Series viewership by 49% (12.6 million for Royals-Giants) and ranks as Sunday Night Football's best-ever performance against the World Series. It also marks the fourth time in five years that SNF topped a World Series game.
SNF topped all primetime programming for the week with a 7.1 rating in the key Adult 18-49 demographic, more than doubling the 3.3 in the demo for World Series Game 5.
Drew Brees (311 passing yards with three TDs) and Mark Ingram (172 rushing yards and one score) led the Saints to the 44-23 victory - the team's 11th consecutive regular-season home win.
