During the week of October 27, 2014, ABC aired 5 of the Top 10 non-sports broadcast shows, including the Top 3 dramas ("Scandal," "HTGAWM" and "Once Upon a Time") and the Top 2 freshman series ("HTGAWM" and "black-ish"): "Modern Family" - No. 3, "Scandal" - No. 5, "How to Get Away with Murder" and "black-ish" tied at No. 7 and "Once Upon a Time" - No. 9. "DWTS" stood as TV's most-watched unscripted series for the 2nd week in a row, topping both editions of NBC's "The Voice."

· Season to date through 6 complete weeks, ABC claims the Top 2 broadcast dramas in Adults 18-49 with "HTGAWM" (No. 1) and "Scandal" (No. 2), as well as the No. 1 freshman comedy with "black-ish."

"Dancing with the Stars" (8:00-10:01 p.m. - 12.6 million and 1.9/5 in AD18-49):

Head to head in its time period, ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" delivered more viewers than NBC's "The Voice" for the 2nd consecutive week (12.6 million vs. 12.5 million) to rank as Monday's most-watched non-sports program. Building 6% from its first to second hour among Adults 18-49, "Dancing" beat out Fox's "Sleepy Hollow" from 9:00-10:00 p.m. for the 6th week running (+19% - 1.9/5 vs. 1.6/4). "DWTS" once again ranked as Monday's most social broadcast series (71,139 tweets).

"Castle" (10:01-11:00 p.m. - 8.8 million and 1.6/5 in AD18-49):

In the 10:00 p.m. hour, ABC's "Castle" defeated CBS' "NCIS: LA" in Total Viewers (8.8 million vs. 8.7 million). The ABC drama was up week to week in Adults 18-49 (+7%).

Tuesday

Opposite Game 6 of the 2014 World Series on Fox, ABC's Tuesday night was up week to week in Total Viewers (+5% - 4.4 million vs. 4.2 million) and Adults 18-49 (+8% - 1.3/4 vs. 1.2/4).

"The Great Halloween Fright Night" (8:00-9:00 p.m. - 3.7 million and 1.1/4 in AD18-49):

At 8:00 p.m. against the start of the World Series, ABC's special "The Great Halloween Fright Night" improved its hour week to week in Total Viewers (+16% - 3.7 million vs. 3.2 million) and Adults 18-49 (+22% - 1.1/4 vs. 0.9/3) to deliver 4-week highs in the time period - since 9/30/14.

"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." (9:00-10:00 p.m. - 4.4 million and 1.7/5 in AD18-49):

Surging from its lead-in (+55%) at 9:00 p.m. against the World Series, NBC's "The Voice"-driven comedies and CBS' "NCIS: New Orleans," ABC's "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." was up 6% from its week-ago Adult 18-49 number (1.7/5 vs. 1.6/4), equaling a best-since-premiere rating - since 9/23/14. In addition, despite facing the Fall Classic, "S.H.I.E.L.D." spiked with Adults 18-34 (+18% - highest rating in 5 weeks) and Men 18-34 (+33% -- hitting a new season high). From 9:00-10:00 p.m., "S.H.I.E.L.D." beat NBC's "The Voice"-fueled comedies ("Marry Me"/"About a Boy") by 21% in Adults 18-49 (1.7/5 vs. 1.4/4) and finished as the No. 1 series in its hour for the 3rd week in a row among Men 18-34.

· The ABC drama improved its hour from the year-ago night by 13% in Adults 18-49 (vs. a 1.5/4 on 10/29/13).

"Forever" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 5.0 million and 1.1/3 in AD18-49):

Building on its lead-in with Total Viewers (+14%) at 10:00 p.m., ABC's "Forever" (5.0 million) drew its biggest audience in 3 weeks - since 10/07/14. In addition, the freshman ABC drama improved its hour year to year by 56% in Total Viewers and by 22% in Adults 18-49.

Wednesday

Against the highly rated deciding Game 7 of the 2014 World Series, ABC was the No. 1 non-sports network on Wednesday in Adults 18-49 by 10% over CBS (2.2/6 vs. 2.0/6). ABC's "Modern Family" (3.5/10) and "black-ish" (2.7/7) ranked as the Top 2 series telecasts of the night in Adults 18-49, with "Modern Family" on top for the 6th straight week this season. The Net's Wednesday night was up 5% week to week in Adults 18-49 and topped the year-ago night by 22%, when it faced Game 6 of the 2013 World Series.

· Season to date, ABC's 2-hour Wednesday comedy block is up year to year in viewers (+9%) and young adults (+6%), marking its strongest start in 3 years - since the opening weeks of the 2011-12 season.

"The Middle" (8:00-8:30 p.m. - 7.0 million and 1.8/6 in AD18-49):

At 8:00 p.m., ABC's "The Middle" took a strong second against its regular time slot competition with Adults 18-49 (1.8/6), behind only CBS' "Survivor" and beating NBC's "The Mysteries of Laura" by 50% (1.2/4).

"The Goldbergs" (8:30-9:00 p.m. - 6.9 million and 2.2/7 in AD18-49):

At 8:30 p.m., ABC's "The Goldbergs" built on its Adult 18-49 lead-in for 5th time this season (+22% - best yet) to nearly tie CBS' "Survivor" for the series lead (2.2/7 vs. 2.3/7). "The Goldbergs" caught "Survivor" for the first time in the half-hour among Adults 18-34. The ABC comedy continued to greatly improve its half-hour year to year with young adults (+29% over "Back in the Game" on 10/30/13 = 1.7/5).

· "The Goldbergs" bested its year-ago Tuesday airing (on 10/29/13) for its 4th consecutive telecast in Total Viewers (+28% - 6.9 million vs. 5.4 million) and Adults 18-49 (+29% - 2.2/7 vs. 1.7/4).

"Modern Family" (9:00-9:31 p.m. - 9.9 million and 3.5/10 in AD18-49):

At 9:00 p.m., ABC's "Modern Family" spiked 59% from its Adult 18-49 lead-in to beat its nearest regular competition in the half-hour by 46% (3.5/10 vs. 2.4/7 - CBS' "Criminal Minds"). The ABC comedy grew over its week-ago Adult 18-49 rating (+3% - 3.5/10 vs. 3.4/10).

"black-ish" (9:31-10:00 p.m. - 7.7 million and 2.7/7 in AD18-49):

In the 9:30 p.m. half-hour, ABC's "black-ish" ranked as the No. 1 series in its slot for the 4th straight week with Adults 18-49, holding a 17% advantage over "Criminal Minds" (2.7/7 vs. 2.3/6). "black-ish" was up 13% week to week in Adults 18-49 to deliver a 3-week high -- since 10/8/14.

· Season to date, the freshman ABC comedy is improving its slot year to year by double digits in Total Viewers (+36%) and Adults 18-49 (+25%).

"Nashville" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 5.6 million and 1.4/4 rating in AD18-49):

During the 10 o'clock hour, ABC's "Nashville" was up for the 2nd week in Total Viewers (+4% - 5.6 million vs. 5.4 million) and held steady in Adults 18-49 (+7% - 1.5/4 vs. 1.4/4) to deliver its most-watched telecast since its season opener 5 weeks ago - since 9/24/14. "Nashville" beat CBS' "Stalker" in the hour for the first time among Women 18-49 (+11%).

· The ABC drama grew over its year-ago telecast (5.2 million and 1.4/4) in Total Viewers (+8%) and remained even in Adults 18-49.

Thursday

With a 2nd airing this season of "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" leading into "Scandal" and "HTGAWM," ABC won Thursday night in Adults 18-49, upsetting CBS' premiere of its entertainment lineup on the night (+14% - 2.5/8 vs. 2.2/7). In addition, the Net continued to more than double the young adult deliveries of Fox (+150% - 1.0/3) and NBC (+150% - 1.0/3) on the night. It was ABC's 2nd straight year to lead the opening night of the November Sweep.

· ABC's "Scandal" (3.1/9) and "How to Get Away with Murder" (2.7/8) were Thursday's Top 2 dramas (pacing well ahead of CBS' "Elementary" premiere, NBC's "Parenthood" and Fox's "Bones" and "Gracepoint") and trailed only CBS' "The Big Bang Theory" overall on the night in Adults 18-49.

· Season to date, ABC's Thursday is up by double digits from the same point a year ago in Total Viewers (+34%) and Adults 18-49 (+24%) for its strongest start on the night in 5 years - since the beginning of the 2009-10 season.

"It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" (8:00-9:00 p.m. - 6.3 million and 1.7/6 in AD18-49):

From 8:00-9:00 p.m. against the Thursday premiere of "Big Bang Theory" and season opener of "Mom," ABC's 2nd repeat of "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" (6.3 million and 1.7/6) outdelivered by strong margins first-runs of Fox's "Bones" (5.6 million and 1.3/4) and NBC's "The Biggest Loser" (4.4 million and 1.1/4) in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49.

"Scandal" (9:00-10:00 p.m. - 9.3 million and 3.1/9 in AD18-49):

Spiking 82% over its lead-in at 9:00 p.m. in Adults 18-49 to dominate its hour, ABC's "Scandal" (3.1/9) beat CBS' comedy premieres by 55% ("Two and a Half Men" premiere/"McCarthys" series debut = 2.0/6), while nearly quadrupling the deliveries of NBC's comedies ("Bad Judge"/"A to Z" = 0.8/2) and Fox's "Gracepoint" (0.8/2).

· "Scandal" was up from "Grey's" in the hour on the same night last year (8.9 million and 2.6/8). And despite a lower lead-in, the ABC drama grew week to week in Adults 18-49 (+3%) and increased from its own year-ago telecast at 10:00 p.m. (+7% - 2.9/9 on 10/31/13).

"How to Get Away with Murder" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 8.7 million and 2.7/8 in AD18-49):

At 10:00 p.m., ABC's "How to Get Away with Murder" (2.7/8) beat its combined drama competition in Adults 18-49, towering over CBS' "Elementary" season opener by 125% (1.2/4) and NBC's "Parenthood" by 145% (1.1/4). The new ABC drama was also the most-watched TV show overall in the slot (8.7 million).

Friday

ABC was the No. 1 broadcaster on the opening Friday of the November Sweep for the 2nd consecutive year in Adults 18-49, leading its nearest competition by 36% (1.5/6 vs. 1.1/4 - CBS and NBC tied). Please Note: On Halloween, overall Adult 18-49 primetime TV usage levels were down -10% from the previous Friday (25.5% vs. 28.4%).

· ABC's "Shark Tank" equaled a season high in Adults 18-49 (2.0/7) and stood as Friday's No. 1 TV show, delivering the top series position on the night for the 6th consecutive week this season. The show also scored its most-watched telecast overall this season (7.8 million).

· ABC's "20/20" (1.4/5) was the No. 2 TV series of the night in Adults 18-49 and, once again, the night's No. 1 newsmagazine in key Adults (AD18-49/AD25-54) over NBC's "Dateline."

· Season to date, ABC's Friday is up in Total Viewers (+13%) and Adults 18-49 (+6%), posting its highest-rated start to a season on the night in 6 years with young adults - since the beginning of 2008-09.

"Last Man Standing" (8:00-8:31 p.m. - 6.7 million and 1.2/6 in AD18-49)

In the 8:00 p.m. half-hour, "Last Man Standing" ranked No. 1 in Adults 18-49 (tie) and was up week to week in Total Viewers (+8% - 6.7 million vs. 6.2 million) and Adults 18-49 (+9% - 1.2/6 vs. 1.1/4).

"Cristela" (8:31-9:00 p.m. - 5.4 million and 1.0/4 in AD18-49)

At 8:30 p.m., "Cristela" grew week to week in Total Viewers (+8% - 5.4 million vs. 5.0 million) and held steady in Adults 18-49 (1.0/4).

"Shark Tank" (9:00-10:01 p.m. - 7.8 million and 2.0/7 in AD18-49)

Doubling its lead-in at 9:00 p.m. (+100%), ABC's "Shark Tank" won its hour by 82% in Adults 18-49 over its closest competition (2.0/7 vs. 1.1/4 - CBS' "Hawaii Five-0" and NBC's "Grimm" tied). Building week to week in Total Viewers (+13%) and Adults 18-49 (+11%), "Shark Tank" marked its strongest performance this season. In addition, despite the Halloween holiday's depressed viewing levels, the ABC unscripted series was up year to year in Total Viewers and held even in Adults 18-49 (7.3 million and 2.0/6 on 11/1/13).

"20/20" (10:01-11:00 p.m. - 6.2 million and 1.4/5 in AD18-49)

During the 10 o'clock hour, ABC's "20/20" took first place on the broadcast networks in Adults 18-49 (1.4/5) by strong double-digit margins over CBS' "Blue Bloods" (+27% - 1.1/4) and NBC's "Constantine" (+56% - 0.9/3). The ABC newsmagazine also ranked No. 1 in the hour with Adults 25-54 (2.0/6). "20/20" increased its Total Viewers for the 2nd week (+7%), drawing its biggest audience since its season premiere 5 week ago - since 9/26/14.

Sunday

Opposite a highly-rated Sunday Night Football game (Ravens-Steelers) on NBC and another huge primetime NFL overrun on CBS (Broncos-Patriots), ABC beat its Sunday non-sports competition on Fox by 3.0 million viewers (+1007% - 5.8 million vs. 2.8 million) and by 14% in Adults 18-49 (1.6/4 vs. 1.4/4). ABC's "Once Upon a Time" ranked as Sunday's No. 1 scripted broadcast in Adults 18-49 (2.6/7).

· All 4 of ABC's Sunday series were up from their most recent airings, pushing the Net up week to week by 29% in Total Viewers and by 23% in Adults 18-49. ABC's "Once Upon a Time" (52,336 tweets), "Revenge" (17,903 tweets) and "Resurrection" (5,378 tweets) ranked as the most social broadcast shows on Sunday, respectively.

"America's Funniest Home Videos" (7:00-8:00 p.m. - 6.1 million 1.2/3 in AD18-49):

During the 7:00 p.m. hour against CBS' big NFL overrun, ABC's "America's Funniest Home Videos" was up over its last telecast two weeks ago in viewers (+15% - 6.1 million vs. 5.3 million) and Adults 18-49 (+9% - 1.2/3 vs. 1.1/3) with its biggest audience this season and tying a season best with young adults.

"Once Upon a Time" (8:00-9:00 p.m. - 753 million and 2.6/7 in AD18-49):

From 8:00-9:00 p.m., ABC's "Once Upon a Time" was up from its week-ago airing in Total Viewers (+9% - 7.5 million vs. 6.9 million) and Adults 18-49 (+8% - 2.6/7 vs. 2.4/6).

· "Once Upon a Time" built on its year-ago telecast for the 6th consecutive week in Adults 18-49 (2.3/6 on 11/3/13) and season to date, the ABC drama is up 16% over the same point last year (3.6/10 vs. 3.1/9).

"Resurrection" (9:00-10:01 p.m. - 5.0 million and 1.4/3 in AD18-49):

At 9:00 p.m., ABC's "Resurrection" built week to week by 14% in Total Viewers (5.0 million vs. 4.4 million) and by 17% in Adults 18-49 (1.4/3 vs. 1.2/3).

"Revenge" (10:01-11:00 p.m. - 4.7 million and 1.2/4 in AD18-49):

During the 10 o'clock hour, ABC's "Revenge" grew week to week in viewers (+9% - 4.7 million vs. 4.3 million) and young adults (+9% - 1.2/4 vs. 1.1/3).

· "Revenge" continued to generate strong time period improvement for ABC (3.4 million and 1.0/3 on 11/3/13), boosting its hour year to year by 38% in Total Viewers and by 20% in Adults 18-49.
