UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - Nov. 4, 2014 - NBC's "Sunday Night Football" has delivered the #1 primetime rating on the Big 4 networks for the week of Oct. 27-Nov. 2 in adults 18-49 and other key demographics, leading the network to a 2.3 rating, 7 share in adults 18-49 and 7.8 million viewers overall for the week, according to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

NBC finished within 0.2 of a rating point of World Series-boosted Fox for the weekly win in adults 18-49 and NBC tied for the #1 position in women 18-49 (with a 2.2 rating) and led the week outright among the Big 4 networks in women 18-34 (1.6).

Joining "Sunday Night Football" among the week's top 15 primetime shows on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 were Monday's "The Voice" (#4), Tuesday's "Voice" (#9) and Monday's "The Blacklist" (tied for #14), excluding sports pre- and post-game shows.

Monday's "The Voice" was the week's #2 entertainment series on the Big 4 in adults 18-49 (behind only CBS's "Big Bang Theory") and ranked #1 among entertainment broadcasts in women 18-34 and tied for #1 among women 18-49 (with ABC's "Scandal").

"Sunday Night Football" was the week's #1 primetime telecast on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54 and all key adult-male demos during a week that included Fox's coverage of the seventh and deciding game of baseball's World Series.

For the season, NBC ranks #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and is also #1 or tied for #1 among those networks in adults and women 18-34; men and women 18-49; and women 25-54.

In total viewers, NBC is #2 for the season, up 1% versus last season to 9.7 million viewers from 9.6 million, for NBC's highest average at this point in the season in eight years (since averaging 10.2 million through five weeks in 2006).

Primetime averages for the week of Oct. 27-Nov. 2 in adults 18-49 are: Fox, 2.3/7; CBS, 2.2/7; NBC, 2.1/7; ABC, 1.7/5; and CW, 0.7/2. In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: CBS, 10.8 million; Fox, 8.1 million; NBC, 7.6 million; ABC, 6.7 million; and CW, 1.7 million.

"Most current" averages for the season to date are: NBC, 2.9/9; CBS, 2.8/9; ABC, 2.4/8; Fox, 2.3/7; and CW, 0.8/2. In overall total viewers, the season averages are: CBS, 12.4 million; NBC, 9.7 million; ABC, 8.7 million; Fox, 7.2 million; and CW, 1.9 million.

NBC highlights for the week of Oct. 27-Nov. 2:

Monday: NBC ranked #1 Monday night among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and total viewers with the #1 and #2 shows of the night on the Big 4 in 18-49, "The Voice" and "The Blacklist." NBC led six of six primetime half-hours among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 and claimed nightlong wins in every key measure among those nets.

"The Voice" (3.7/10 in 18-49, 12.5 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) ranked as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 in every key demographic with week-to-week growth of +9% in 18-49 (3.4 to 3.7) and +5% in total viewers (11.9 million to 12.5 million). Versus the comparable telecast in the spring, this week's "Voice" was up +9% in 18-49 rating (3.4 to 3.7) and up +2% in total viewers (12.3 million to 12.5 million)

"Live Plus Three Day" Ratings: "The Voice" grew by +18% in adults 18-49 (from a 3.71 rating to a 4.38) and 1.8 million viewers overall (from 12.5 million to 14.3 million) going from "live plus same day" rating to L+3. "Live Plus Seven Day" Ratings: Through season's first four weeks, Monday's "Voice" grew in L+7 vs. L+SD by +26% in 18-49 rating (from a 3.97 to a 5.02) and more than 2.5 million viewers overall (13.0 million to 15.6 million).

"The Blacklist" (2.5/7 in 18-49, 9.6 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) was the #1 scripted show of the night in 18-49, generating week-to-week gains of +4% in 18-49 (2.5 vs. 2.4) and +2% in total viewers (9.6 million vs. 9.3 million). "The Blacklist" finished #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key measure, with a +56% margin in adults 18-49 over both ABC's "Castle" and CBS's "NCIS: LA" (1.6 each).

L+3: "The Blacklist" grew by +61% in 18-49 (from a 2.51 to a 4.04 rating) and 4.9 million viewers overall (from 9.6 million to 14.5 million) going from L+SD to L+3, making it the #1 drama of the night in L+3 18-49 rating and total viewers and in rating-point and percentage lift going from L+SD to L+3 in both 18-49 and total viewers. L+7: In week four of the season, "The Blacklist" delivered television's biggest increase in total viewers, adding 6.191 million persons going from L+SD to L+7 (9.8 million persons to 15.9 million). So far this season, "Blacklist" is growing by +68% in 18-49 rating (from a 2.91 to a 4.88) and 6.4 million viewers (10.7 million to 17.1 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

Tuesday: "The Voice" (2.9/9 in 18-49, 11.4 million viewers overall from 8-9:01 p.m. ET) ranked as the #1 non-sports telecast of the night on the Big 4 in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and adults 25-54 and ranked #1 in its highly competitive time period in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and all key adult-female demos, despite facing a potentially deciding Game 6 of the World Series.

L+3: "The Voice" grew by +23% in 18-49 (from a 2.94 to a 3.60) and more than 1.6 million viewers overall (11.4 million to 13.0 million) going from L+SD to L+3. L+7: Tuesday's "Voice" is growing by an average +25% in 18-49 rating (from a 3.99 to a 5.00) and 2.5 million viewers overall (13.3 million to 15.8 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

"Marry Me" (1.5/4 in 18-49, 5.1 million viewers overall from 9:01-9:30 p.m. ET) remained the #2 new comedy of the season in 18-49, having delivered the #2 results for a new comedy on the Big 4 networks for its first week, second week and now its third week, behind only the first three telecasts of ABC's "Black-ish."

L+3: "Marry Me" grew by +18% in 18-49 (from a 1.51 to a 1.78) and 479,000 viewers overall (5.1 million to 5.5 million) going from L+SD to L+3. L+7: "Marry Me" is increasing by an average +19% in 18-49 rating (from a 2.31 to a 2.75) and 1.2 million viewers overall (7.5 million to 8.7 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

Upscale: "Marry Me" is the #1 most upscale new series (and #7 series overall) on the Big 4 networks in "most current" L+3 results through the opening five weeks of the season, indexing at a 144 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes (100 represents an average concentration of those homes).

"About a Boy" (1.2/3 in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers overall from 9:30-10 p.m. ET) retained 86% of the prior week's rating in adults 18-49 (1.2 vs. 1.4), despite this week's game six World Series competition, and 94% of the previous week's adult 25-54 rating (1.6 vs. 1.7).

L+3: "About a Boy" grew by +24% in 18-49 (from a 1.18 to a 1.46) and 862,000 viewers overall (4.1 million to 4.9 million) going from L+SD to L+3. L+7: "About a Boy" is increasing by an average +24% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.69 to a 2.10) and 1.2 million viewers overall (5.8 million to 7.0 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

"Chicago Fire" (1.7/5 in 18-49, 7.2 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) has ranked #1 or tied for #1 among the slot's drama on ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 through six Tuesdays of the season to date. This week's "Chicago Fire" maintained its adult 18-49 rating from half-hour to half-hour despite the 10 p.m. hour (1.7 vs. 1.7) and grew by +5% in adults 25-54 (from a 2.2 to a 2.3) and +7% in women 25-54 (2.9 vs. 3.1).

L+3: "Chicago Fire" grew by +48% in 18-49 (from a 1.71 to a 2.54) and 2.8 million viewers overall (7.2 million to 10.0 million) going from L+SD to L+3. L+7: "Chicago Fire" is increasing by an average +49% in 18-49 rating (from a 2.25 to a 3.35) and 3.6 million viewers overall (8.4 million to 11.9 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

Wednesday: "The Mysteries of Laura" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 7.5 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) retained 92% of the prior week's result in 18-49 (1.2 vs. 1.3) and 91% in total viewers (7.5 million vs,. 8.2 million), despite competition this week from game seven of the World Series.

L+3: "The Mysteries of Laura" grew by +26% in 18-49 (from a 1.17 to a 1.7047 and 1.4 million viewers overall (7.5 million to. 8.9 million) going from L+SD to L+3. L+7: "The Mysteries of Laura" is growing by an average +28% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.55 to a 1.98) and more than 1.8 million viewers overall (9.3 million to 11.2 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

An encore telecast of "Law & Order: SVU" averaged a 0.8/2 in 18-49 and 4.3 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET and a rebroadcast "Chicago P.D." delivered a 0.8/2 in 18-49 and 4.0 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET.

L+7: Through the season's first four weeks, "SVU" was increasing by an average +64% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.84 a 3.01) and 2.9 million viewers overall (8.2 million to 11.1 million) going from L+SD to L+7. "Chicago P.D." is growing by an average +65% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.64 to a 2.71) and 3.2 million viewers overall (7.2 million to 10.4 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

Thursday: "The Biggest Loser" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 4.4 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) retained 92% of the prior week's 1.2 rating in adults 18-49 and 100% in adults 18-34 (0.7 vs. 0.7), despite this week's return of competition from CBS's "Big Bang Theory" in the time period.

L+3: The prior week's "Biggest Loser" on Oct. 23 grew by +27% in 18-49 (from a 1.15 to a 1.46) and 756,000 viewers overall (from 4.6 million to 5.3 million) going from L+SD to L+3. L+7: "The Biggest Loser" is increasing by an average +36% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.38 to a 1.87) and more than 1.0 million viewers overall (4.8 million to 5.8 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

"Bad Judge" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall from 9-9:30 p.m. ET) retained 82% of its lead-in from "Biggest Loser" in adutls 18-49, 93% in adults 25-54 (1.3 vs. 1.4) and 100% in men 25-54 (0.9 vs. 0.9).

L+3: The previous week's "Bad Judge" on Oct. 23 grew by +42% in 18-49 (from a 1.01 to a 1.43) and 1.1 million viewers overall (from 4.4 million to 5.5 million) going from L+SD to L+3. L+7: "Bad Judge" is growing by an average +43% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.25 to a 1.79) and more than 1.4 million viewers overall (5.2 million to 6.7 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

"A-to-Z" (0.7/2 in 18-49, 2.5 million viewers overall from 9:30-10 p.m. ET) retained 78% of its lead-in from "Bad Judge" in adults 18-49 and 83% in men 18-49 (0.5 vs. 0.6).

L+3: The prior week's "A-to-Z" on Oct. 23 increased by +26% in 18-49 (from a 0.88 to a 1.3311 and 458,000 viewers overall (from 3.1 million to 3.6 million) going from L+SD to L+3. L+7: "A-to-Z" is increasing by an average +34% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.08 to a 1.45) and 869,000 viewers overall (3.9 million to 4.8 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

"Parenthood" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) retained 92% of the prior week in adults 18-49 (1.1 vs. 1.2), 98% in total viewers (3.9 million vs. 4.0 million) and 100% in adults 25-54 (1.4 vs. 1.4), despite the return this week of CBS drama competition to the hour. "Parenthood" topped CBS's season debut of "Elementary" in the hour in adults 18-34, women 18-34 and women 18-49.

L+3: The previous week's "Parenthood" on Oct. 23 grew by +65% in 18-49 (from a 1.17 to a 1.93) and 1.9 million viewers overall (from 4.0 million to 5.9 million) going from L+SD to L+3. L+7: "Parenthood" is growing by an average +81% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.32 to a 2.39) and more than 2.5 million viewers overall (4.3 million to 6.8 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

Upscale: "Parenthood" is the #1 most upscale primetime series on the Big 4 networks in, indexing at a 170 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes ("most current" L+3 results through the opening five weeks of the season, 100 represents an average concentration of those homes).

Friday: "Dateline NBC" (1.3/6 in 18-49, 7.4 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) won the time period among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers. "Dateline" reported NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the hour, excluding sports, since May 16 (pending Nielsen corrections of earlier weeks' results) and delivered NBC's biggest overall audience in the slot in seven months (since March 21).

L+3: The prior week's Friday "Dateline NBC" on Oct. 24 grew by +13% in 18-49 (from a 1.15 to a 1.30) and 592,000 viewers overall (6.3 million to 6.9 million) going from L+SD to L+3. L+7: Friday's "Dateline" is increasing by an average of +23% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.21 to a 1.49) and 894,000 viewers overall (5.8 million to 6.7 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

"Grimm" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 4.5 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) tied for the #1 scripted series on the Big 4 in the hour in adults 18-49 and was #1 outright among scripted shows on those networks in women 18-49 (1.3). "Grimm" tied for the #1 drama of the night in adults 18-49.

L+3: The prior week's "Grimm" on Oct. 24 increased by +58% in 18-49 (from a 1.44 to a 2.27) and more than 2.3 million viewers overall (5.3 million to 7.6 million) going from L+SD to L+3. L+7: Last season, "Grimm" originals added an average +82% in 18-49 rating (to a 2.55 from a 1.40) and 2.8 viewers overall (5.4 million to 8.2 million) to these next-day L+SD ratings when Nielsen issued L+7 results.

"Constantine" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 3.1 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) retained 82% of its adult 18-49 lead-in from "Grimm," 90% in men 18-49 (0.9 vs. 1.0), 83% in adults 18-34 (0.5 vs. 0.6) and 100% in men 18-34 (0.5 vs. 0.5).

L+3: The previous week's "Constantine" on Oct. 24 grew by +44% in 18-49 (from a 1.39 to a 2.00) and 1.9 million viewers overall (4.3 million vs. 6.2 million) going from L+SD to L+3. The Oct. 24 "Constantine" was the #1 non-sports telecast in the hour on the Big 4 networks in L+3 18-49 ratings.

Saturday: NBC Sports live coverage of the 2014 Breeders' Cup (0.4/1 in 18-49, 2.6 million viewers overall from 8-9:08 p.m. ET) grew versus the 2013 telecast by +24% in total viewers (from 2.1 million to 2.6 million).

A rebroadcast of "Law & Order: SVU" (0.4/1 in 18-49, 2.0 million viewers overall from 9:08-10 p.m. ET) grew by +31% in total viewers versus the prior week's encore in this slot (2.0 million vs. 1.5 million).

"SNL Vintage" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 3.1 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET with an encore of an Oct. 18, 2008 telecast of "Saturday Night Live" hosted by Josh Brolin and featuring musical guest Adele) delivered a four-week high in 18-49 rating, the top "SNL Vintage" result since Oct. 4 and hit a five-week high in total viewers, best since the Sept. 27 premiere. "SNL Vintage" grew from half-hour to half-hour by +29% in 18-49 rating (from a 0.7 to a 0.9) and +19% in total viewers (2.8 million to 3.3 million).

Sunday: NBC Sports' "Sunday Night Football" (6.7/18 in 18-49, 18.6 million viewers overall from 8:31-11:35 p.m. ET), featuring the Baltimore Ravens at the Pittsburgh Steelers, led NBC to nightlong wins among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults, men and women 18-49; adults, men and women 18-34; and adults and men 25-54.

Versus the same night last year, "Sunday Night Football" grew by +6% in 18-49 (from a 6.3 to a 6.7) and +9% in total viewers (17.040 million to 18.595 million).

For the night (from 7:30-11 p.m. ET), NBC led among the Big 4 by a +33% margin over #2 CBS in nightlong 18-49 averages (with a 5.6 rating from 7:30-11 p.m. for NBC vs. a 4.2 from 7-11 for CBS).
