Friday's Broadcast Ratings: ABC Tops Demos for Fourth Consecutive Week

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (11/21/14):

ABC (6.983 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #1) was once again the demo champ on Friday thanks to its mix of "Last Man Standing" (7.107 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T4), "Cristela" (5.286 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #10), "Shark Tank" (7.825 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.0, #1) and "20/20" (6.929 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2).

CBS (9.188 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T2) then was the most-watched network thanks to its trio of "The Amazing Race" (6.062 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #8), "Hawaii Five-0" (10.002 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T4) and "Blue Bloods" (11.500 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T4).

Next up was NBC (5.545 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T2) with originals from "Dateline NBC" (7.664 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3), "Grimm" (5.429 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T4) and "Constantine" (3.543 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.1, #9).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.823 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) served up encores of "MasterChef Junior" (2.393 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #11) and "Gotham" (1.252 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T14).

And finally, The CW (1.375 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #5) closed out the evening with the season finale of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.645 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T12), a repeat "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.528 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T12) and a new "America's Next Top Model" (1.164 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T14). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), said trio posted a 0.5, 0.5 and 0.6 rating, respectively.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.5/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.4/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (11/22/13):

CBS (9.441 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T1) was the most-watched network on Friday with its usual mix of "Undercover Boss" (6.863 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #6), "Hawaii Five-0" (9.757 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T3) and "Blue Bloods" (11.701 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T3).

ABC (6.167 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T1) however shared top demo honors with its lineup of "Last Man Standing" (6.162 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.2, #7), "The Neighbors" (3.967 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10), "Shark Tank" (6.913 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) and "20/20" (6.523 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2).

Next up was NBC (5.644 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3) with a new "Dateline NBC" (5.392 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T8) and the special "Where Were You: The Day JFK Died" (5.770 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T8).

Meanwhile, FOX (4.016 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3) offered up originals from "Bones" (5.668 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T3), "Raising Hope" (2.477 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10) and another "Raising Hope" (2.251 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.8, #12).

And finally, a new "The Carrie Diaries" (0.719 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #13) and the return of "Nikita" (0.732 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #14) on The CW (0.726 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the night. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Carrie" delivered a 0.4 rating at 8:00/7:00c and "Nikita" a 0.2 rating at 9:00/8:00c.
