ABC Dominates the Final Night of 2014 - "New Year's Rockin' Eve" Is Up Year to Year

ABC New Year's Eve Primetime (8-11pm - 9.6 million and 2.7/11 in AD18-49): With its New Year's Eve line-up, ABC ranked a dominant #1 on the final night of 2014, winning all 6 half-hours of prime and beating runner-up NBC by 96% in Total Viewers (9.6 million vs. 4.9 million) and by 125% in Adults 18-49 (2.7/11 vs. 1.2/5). The Net was up from the year-ago New Year's Eve in prime (9.1 million and 2.6/9).

Dick Clark's Primetime New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest Pt 2 (10-11pm - 12.8 million and 3.8/14 in AD18-49): Jumping over its lead-in at 10pm, ABC's broadcast of Dick Clark's Primetime New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest overshadowed the final hour of the night and ranked as the #1 TV program in prime with Total Viewers (12.8 million) and across each of the key Adult demos (AD18-34/AD18-49/AD25-54).

· Head-to-head from 10-11pm, ABC's Dick Clark's Primetime New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest more than doubled NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly (5.4 million and 1.5/6) in Total Viewers (+137%) and Adults 18-49 (+153%). ABC's show also eclipsed Fox's Pitbull's New Year Resolution earlier in the evening (2.2 million and 0.7/3 from 8-10pm).

· Dick Clark's Primetime New Year's Rockin' Eve grew 5% year to year in Total Viewers (12.8 million vs. 12.2 million) and held steady in Adults 18-49, drawing its 3rd-largest-ever overall audience - the special premiered on the Net in 2000. The annual show was up by 4.3 million viewers and by 36% in Adults 18-49 from the last time New Year's fell on a Wednesday in 2002 (8.5 million and 2.8/10 on 12/31/08).
