"Dateline NBC" Grows Week to Week by 22% in Adults 18-49 Versus Last Week's 9-10 p.m. Average and by 9% in Total Viewers
NBC spins the numbers for Friday, January 9.

Friday Primetime Results:

· "Dateline NBC" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 5.6 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) grew week to week by +22% in adults 18-49 versus last week's 9-10 p.m. average (1.1 vs. 0.9 for the first hour of last week's 9-11 p.m. encore) and by +9% in total viewers (5.571 million vs. 5.101 million). These are "Dateline's" best 9-10 p.m. numbers since Dec. 19 (1.3 in 18-49, 6.6 million viewers overall for the first hour of a 9-11 p.m. telecast).

· Last night's "Dateline" built on its lead-in from a "Grimm" encore by +120% in adults 18-49 (1.1 vs. 0.5), +114% in adults 25-54 (1.5 vs. 0.7) and +130% in total viewers (5.6 million vs. 2.4 million).

· The NBC New Special "Countdown to the Globes" averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 2.4 million viewers overall.

· An encore telecast of "Grimm" (0.5/2 in 18-49, 2.4 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) grew versus last week's encore in this slot by 0.1 of a point or +25% in adults 18-49 (0.5 vs. 0.4) and +8% in total viewers (2.419 million vs. 2.231 million).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday Night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.7/6; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.3/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.1/5 with an encore.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.2/5; "Late Show," 0.4/1; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households with an encore) tied CBS's "Late Late Show " (1.2/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
