ABC's Galavant Improves its Hour Against the Golden Globes by 30% Year to Year

Galavant (8-9pm - 4.1 million and 1.3/3 in AD18-49): At 8pm opposite the start of the Golden Globes and an NFL Playoff overrun-fueled CBS, ABC's Galavant built on its young adult lead-in (+18%) and continued to improve its hour for ABC, growing from the year-ago The Bachelor special in the slot by 24% in Total Viewers (4.1 million vs. 3.3 million) and by 30% in Adults 18-49 (1.3/3 vs. 1.0/2).

Live + 3 Day Ratings for Last Week's Galavant Debut (1/4/15):

· ABC's series debut of Galavant jumped to a 2.7 rating among Adults 18-49 (from a 2.0 in L+SD) in the L+3 numbers, adding +0.7 rating points (+35%) to its L+SD rating.

· Galavant gained another +2.0 million Total Viewers after 3 days of TV playback, increasing its tally to 9.4 million viewers (from 7.4 million in L+SD).

· Galavant's L+3 gains (+2.0 million and +0.7 rating points) are the season's 2nd-highest for any comedy debut, behind only ABC's black-ish opener in September.
