January 20, 2015 (Burbank, CA) - In its first original outing since star Gina Rodriguez took home the Golden Globe for best actress in a TV comedy, JANE THE VIRGIN had its best ever ratings in adults 18-34 (0.6/2) and in women 18-34 (0.9/3), according to preliminary Live Plus Same Day Nielsen ratings for Monday, January 19, 2015.

Following a month long hiatus, JANE THE VIRGIN's return delivered The CW's best adults 18-34 and women 18-34 ratings in its time period in more than two years (12/17/2012, GOSSIP GIRL series finale)

Up against all original competition, JANE had its most watched episode (1.42M) since its series debut and also matched its series high in women 18-49 (0.8/2).

This was The CW's most watched Monday night (1.454M) in three years (1/30/2012), and its best Monday of the season in adults 18-49 (0.6/2).

JANE was up +20% in adults 18-34 from its last original outing on 12/15/14, up +29% in women 18-34, up +11% in total viewers, and steady in adults 18-49 (0.5/1).

THE ORIGINALS also returned strong from its winter break, with its most watched episode of the season (1.48M), and rising +25% in adults 18-34 (0.5/2) from its last original episode on 12/8/14, growing +17% in women 18-34 (0.7/2), up +5% in total viewers and holding even in adults 18-49 (0.6/2).

Versus this same Monday last year, The CW was up +67% in adults 18-34 (0.5/2), up +60% in women 18-34 (0.8/3), and up +60% in total viewers.

On average this season JANE THE VIRGIN has seen a +65% gain among adults 18-34 in Live Plus 7 Day viewing versus Live Plus Same Day ratings, a +68% increase in women 18-34, +61% in adults 18-49, and +55% in total viewers. THE ORIGINALS averages a +74% jump in adults 18-34, a +78% increase in women 18-34, a +77% gain in adults 18-49, and grows by +66% in total viewers.
