"The Blacklist" Matches Last Week's Fast-Affiliate Rating

"THE BLACKLIST" MATCHES LAST WEEK'S FAST-AFFIL RATING

"BLACKLIST" -- WHICH LAST WEEK DELIVERED THE NIGHT'S BIGGEST VIEWERSHIP GAINS IN L+3 - DOUBLES LAST NIGHT'S LEAD-IN

ON THE FIRST THURSDAY OF DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME, "DATELINE: THE REAL BLACKLIST" IS THE ONLY BIG 4 SHOW IN THE HOUR TO MAINTAIN WEEK-AGO 18-49 RESULTS IN THE TIME PERIOD

Thursday Primetime Results:

· "The Blacklist" (1.7/5 in 18-49, 7.3 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) built on its lead-in by +113% in 18-49 and by +63% in total viewers.

· On the first Thursday of Daylight Saving Time and facing tougher Fox competition ("American Idol" this week, "Backstrom" last week), "The Blacklist" matched last week's 1.7 in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings and is running within 6% of last week's 1.8 in official nationals, while ABC's drama "Scandal" declined 13% week to week in these fast-affiliate ratings (2.6 vs. 3.0).

· In L+3 averages heading into last night, "The Blacklist" has improved the slot +175% verus NBC's earlier non-sports slot average in L+3 18-49 heading into last night (see details below).

· Last week's "Blacklist" was both the night's biggest gainer in L+3 on the Big 4 and most upscale show:

· Last week's "Blacklist" delivered the biggest L+3 gains of the night among Big 4 shows, growing by +79% in 18-49 rating (1.78 to 3.19) and by 4.3 million persons in total viewers (8.2 million to 12.6 million) going from L+SD to L+3.

· The Feb. 19 "Blacklist" more than doubled its 18-49 rating in L+7 (from a 1.72 in L+SD to a 3.53 in L+7)

· Upscale: "The Blacklist" was the prior Thursday's most upscale primetime telecast on the Big 4 in L+SD, indexing at a 148 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes (100 represents an average concentration of those homes).

· "Dateline: The Real Blacklist" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 4.5 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) is the only Big 4 show in the hour to match last week's results on this first Thursday of Daylight Saving Time:

· Versus last week's fast-affiliate results in the hour, "Big Bang" is down 6% (4.4 vs. 4.7), "The Odd Couple" is down 13% (2.6 vs. 3.0), "Grey's Anatomy" is down 12% (2.1 vs. 2.4) and "American Idol" is down 19% (1.7 vs. 2.1 that hour).

· In total viewers, "Dateline: The Real Blacklist" grew by +17% versus NBC's fast-affiliate result in the slot last week, making it the only Big 4 show in the hour to gain versus last week's figures on this first Thursday of Daylight Saving Time:

· Versus last week's fast-affiliate results in the hour, "Big Bang" is down 10% (16.1 million vs. 17.9 million), "The Odd Couple" is down 14% (10.7 million vs. 12.5 million), "Grey's Anatomy" is down 9% (7.4 million vs. 8.1 million) and "American Idol" is down 16% (7.9 million vs. 9.3 million that hour).

· "Dateline" hit a three-week high in the time period for NBC in total viewers (best since Feb. 12, 5.1 million) and matched NBC's best 18-49 rating in the highly competitive slot in three weeks (since Feb. 12, 1.1).

· "The Slap" (0.6/2 in 18-49, 2.9 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) finished down 0.2 in adults 18-49 versus last week's 0.8 in the 8 p.m. ET hour but equaled its week-ago ratings in men 18-49 and men 18-34.

· "The Slap" will increase significantly in L+3 -- the prior week's "Slap" grew by +34% in 18-49 rating (0.80 to 1.07) and by 854,000 persons in total viewers (3.9 million to 4.8 million) going from L+SD to L+3.

· Upscale: "The Slap" has been a solid upscale attraction, delivering a 120 index of adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes ("most current" including L+3, with 100 representing an average concentration of those homes).

Note that the Blacklist" has energized NBC's Thursday. In L+3 averages heading into this week:

· "The Blacklist" has improved the Thursday 9-10 p.m. ET slot by +175% in 18-49 versus prior regularly scheduled entertainment programming in the slot this season (3.3 vs. 1.2 in affiliate average, "live plus three day") and by more than 8.8 million viewers overall (13.0 million vs. 4.2 million, L+3).

· NBC has improved its Thursday nights by +19% in 18-49 since the move of "The Blacklist" to the night, averaging a 1.9 versus a 1.6 previously with regularly scheduled entertainment programming in L+3, and increased on the night by more than 2.7 million viewers overall (7.9 million vs. 5.2 million, L+3).

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.2/6 with an encore telecast; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.9/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 3.1/8.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/4 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.0/5.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 2.0/6 in metered-market households and a 0.7/5 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.1/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2 with an encore).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 with an encore in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
