MTV2 SCORES HIGHEST-RATED QUARTER IN HISTORY AND CONTINUES STREAK OF SEVEN CONSECUTIVE QUARTERS OF GROWTH

Aiming Higher, Network Orders Reinvented "Celebrity Deathmatch" Pilot, Greenlights Weekly Topical Series "Uncommon Sense with Charlamagne tha God" and New Series Starring Rapper and Cultural Lightning Rod Tyga

New York, NY (April 14, 2015) - MTV2 today announced that it achieved its highest-rated quarter in its nearly 20-year history during Q1 of 2015, extending its streak of seven consecutive quarters of year over year growth. MTV2's first quarter success was driven by original hit series "Guy Code" and "Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'N Out," each of which was watched by more than 15 million viewers in their recently wrapped seasons. Showing no signs of slowing down, the network kicked off Q2 with new improv comedy series "MTV2's Joking Off," which premiered April 1 as the No. 1 show in its time period for Teens and Male Teens.

To continue the network's rise, MTV2 today also announced a pilot order for a reinvented "Celebrity Deathmatch" and greenlit two new series: a topical, weekly show titled "Uncommon Sense with Charlamagne tha God" and a new series starring rapper and cultural lightning rod Tyga dubbed "Kingin' with Tyga."

"After scoring our highest-rated quarter in history and continuing seven straight quarters of growth, MTV2 continues to outpunch its weight class," said Chris McCarthy, General Manager of MTV2 and Logo TV. "From the anticipated return of 'Celebrity Deathmatch' to our newest hit series 'MTV2's Joking Off,' we continue to deliver resonate content that drives record viewership."

MTV2's pilot order and series greenlights include:

"Celebrity Deathmatch" (pilot order): the classic animated series returns, featuring no-holds barred fantasy fights between infamous figures from the worlds of entertainment and pop culture, reimagined for a world of social media and hourly Twitter wars. "Celebrity Deathmatch" is produced by Wasteland Entertainment, Inc. Eric Fogel is the original series creator and serves as executive producer. Chris McCarthy and Paul Ricci are executive producers for MTV2.

"Kingin' with Tyga" (series order) gives an inside look at the life of the hit recording artist. The six episode, half-hour series follows Tyga and his crew as they attempt over-the-top stunts and indulge in a lavish lifestyle made famous by his Instagram account, which currently has more than 5 million followers. Karen Frank, Elena Diaz, Darin Byrne and Paul Ricci are executive producers for MTV2. Tyga, Marcus Fox, Brant Pinvidic, J.D. Roth, Todd Nelson and Adam Kaloustian are executive producers for 3 Ball Entertainment, LLC.

"Uncommon Sense with Charlamagne tha God" (series order) is an eight-episode, half-hour comedy talk show hosted by Charlamagne, a nationally syndicated radio host and MTV2 favorite ("Guy Code," "Charlamagne and Friends"). Each week, Charlamagne is joined by a panel of comedians, curating the loudest social media topics of the week with an uncommon spin. The show concept is by Dara Cook, Rich Korson and Ryan Ling, with Brian Saracusa serving as executive producer. Dara Cook, Darin Byrne, Paul Ricci and Chris McCarthy are executive producers for MTV2.
