LOS ANGELES, CA. - April 27, 2015 - The 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy(R) Awards were back with an exclusive live television broadcast on Pop that was seen by nearly 900,000 viewers last night. The live premiere was the most-watched live event on Pop in eight years, dating back to when the network premiered "Live on the Red Carpet with Joan and Melissa" at the Academy Awards(R).
The 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy(R) Awards ignited fans on social media and became the second highest ranked show in Nielsen's Twitter TV Ratings for the night, just behind "Game of Thrones." The live awards show out-ranked the 2015 Radio Disney Music Awards, "WWE Extreme Rules" and "Keeping up with the Kardashians" in the Nielsen Twitter TV rankings.
Pop aired two telecasts of the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy(R) Awards on Sunday, April 26, including a live broadcast at 8:00 PM, ET and 5:00 PM, PT with a repeat at 11:00 PM, ET and 8:00 PM, PT. The television broadcast was a collaboration between the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS), Pop and Michael Levitt Productions.
