ABC's Rookie Blue Builds 14% to a Season High in AD18-49

The Astronaut Wives Club (8-9pm - 3.8 million and 0.6/3 in AD18-49): ABC freshman drama The Astronaut Wives Club (3.8 million) took 2nd in the 8 o'clock hour among Total Viewers, outdrawing NBC's Food Fighters by 9% (3.5 million) and Fox's Boom! by 73% (2.2 million).

· In the most recent round of Live + 7 Day numbers (for 7/2/15), The Astronaut Wives Club surged +57% over its L+SD Adult 18-49 rating.

Mistresses (9-10pm - 2.9 million and 0.7/3 in AD18-49): At 9pm, ABC's Mistresses held steady with its week-ago Fast Affiliate Adult 18-49 rating (0.7/3 vs. 0.8/3), which adjusted up 1-tenth in the Nationals.

· Mistresses continued to deliver increasing playback gains in the most recent round of L+7 data, spiking +100% in week 3 among Adults 18-49 over its L+SD rating, compared to +71% for the prior week and +56% for its season premiere.

Rookie Blue (10-11pm - 3.8 million and 0.8/3 in AD18-49): Building on its lead-in at 10pm, ABC's Rookie Blue grew week to week in Total Viewers (+3% - 3.8 million vs. 3.7 million) and Adults 18-49 (+14% - 0.8/3 vs. 0.7/3), hitting a season high with young adults.

· Last week's episode of Rookie Blue (on 7/16/15) scored its biggest-ever Live + 3 playback increase among Adults 18-49, spiking +71% over its L+SD rating. In fact, the ABC drama increased its playback growth for the 2nd consecutive week (+43% to +57% to +71%). With last Thursday's telecast (+71%) and this season's premiere (+67%), Rookie Blue has delivered its two largest-ever L+3 lifts in just the last 4 weeks.

In fact, the ABC drama increased its playback growth for the 2nd consecutive week (+43% to +57% to +71%). With last Thursday's telecast (+71%) and this season's premiere (+67%), "Rookie Blue" has delivered its two largest-ever L+3 lifts in just the last 4 weeks.

A note about DVR penetration: DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample is currently at 49% in U.S. TV Homes. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which are increasingly not reflected in the overnight Live + Same Day numbers. As a result, the Live + 7 Day ratings are the most accurate measure to gauge the size of the TV audience.
