Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: "America's Got Talent" Powers Another NBC Victory

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (9/8/15):

NBC (8.551 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) was the top draw once again on Tuesday with a new "America's Got Talent" (10.363 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.0, #1) and the season finale of "Hollywood Game Night" (4.929 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2).

The silver then went to CBS (6.565 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #2) with a repeat "NCIS" (8.237 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T3) followed by a new "Zoo" (5.903 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T3) and a second "Zoo" (5.555 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T3).

Next up was ABC (2.358 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) with repeats of "Shark Tank" (3.282 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #6) and "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (1.701 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T10) plus the season finale of "Extreme Weight Loss" (2.092 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.877 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) offered up its season finale of "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" (2.517 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.7, #7) alongside repeats of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (1.385 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8) and "The Last Man on Earth" (1.090 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T10).

And finally, second runs of "The Flash" (1.158 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T10) and "iZombie" (0.716 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #13) on The CW (0.937 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the evening. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), the former posted a 0.3 rating while the latter delivered a 0.2 rating.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 1.5/8; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.1/4 in metered-market households) trailed CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.3/5, delayed by an extended "Late Show"). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) tied "Late Late Show" (0.4/3, delayed by an extended "Late Show").

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 10 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (9/9/14):

NBC (7.959 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.6, #1) was still the network to beat on Tuesday with its duo of "Food Fighters" (4.455 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T3) and "America's Got Talent" (9.712 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.9, #2).

CBS (3.844 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2) then took home the silver with a special "Big Brother 16" (6.789 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.3, #1) followed by its annual presentation of "Fashion Rocks" (2.372 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #8).

Next up was ABC (3.643 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) with the season finale of "Extreme Weight Loss" (3.824 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T3) and a repeat of "Shark Tank" (3.283 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T3).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.461 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) served up the time period premiere of "Utopia" (2.500 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T6) followed by the season finale of "Hotel Hell" (2.423 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T6).

And finally, repeats of "Arrow" (0.918 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T9) and "Supernatural" (0.704 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T9) on The CW (0.811 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) closed out the night. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Arrow" delivered a 0.2 rating while "Supernatural" posted a 0.2 rating.

·From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (0.9/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).

·At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
