Live + Same Day Results:

"Dancing with the Stars" (8:00-10:00 p.m. - 11.8 million and 1.7/5 in AD18-49):

For the 4th straight week this season from 8:00-10:00 p.m., ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" dominated Fox's Monday dramas ("Gotham"/"Minority Report") in the 2-hour time period in Total Viewers (+281% - 11.8 million vs. 3.1 million) and Adults 18-49 (+55% - 1.7/5 vs. 1.1/3). "Dancing" marked its closest finish this season with NBC's "The Voice" in the 2-hour time slot with viewers (+100,000 - 11.8 million vs. 11.7 million) and young adults (-1.5 - 1.7/5 vs. 3.2/9). The ABC unscripted series built from its first to second hour in viewers (+6% - 11.4 million to 12.1 million) and young adults (+13% - 1.6/5 to 1.8/5). "Dancing" held steady with the prior week.

"Castle" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 7.3 million and 1.2/4 in AD18-49):

At 10:00 p.m. against NBC's "The Voice"-led "The Blindspot," ABC's Castle was the No. 2 series Adults 18-49 (1.2/4) ahead of CBS' "NCIS: LA" (1.1/3). "Castle" remained steady week to week and is tracking at a season high in viewers.

· Live + 7 Day Ratings: "Castle" opened its season as the top broadcast gainer in TV playback with an 83% jump in Adults 18-49 (tied with ABC's "Nashville") and adding another 4.2 million viewers to its Live + Same Day total, rising to 10.9 million viewers and a 2.2 rating with young adults in Live + 7 Day.

Projections Rationale:

Lifts vs. L+SD are based on the 2014-15 season for premiere telecast or an average for originals (excluding the premiere).

Returning shows: Profile based on same show (either premiere or averages for originals).

New Series: Based on similar series.

A note about DVR penetration: DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample is currently at 48% in U.S. TV Homes. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which are increasingly not reflected in the overnight Live + Same Day numbers. As a result, the Live + 7 Day ratings are the most accurate measure to gauge the size of the TV audience.
