Eagles-Cowboys Matchup Most-Watched Week 9 Primetime Game Since 1999

STAMFORD, Conn. - November 10, 2015 - After nine weeks featuring tension-filled close games (including two overtimes), a historic battle of unbeatens (6-0 Green Bay vs. 6-0 Denver), and player milestones (Drew Brees' 400th career touchdown pass on the quickest regular-season overtime TD in NFL history; Peyton Manning's record-tying 186th QB win), NBC's Sunday Night Football has extended its primetime dominance in the Adult 18-49 demographic.

Through the opening nine weeks of the NFL season (10 telecasts), NBC's Sunday Night Football is averaging a primetime-best 8.6 rating in the coveted Adult 18-49 demographic, marking a 28% advantage over primetime's #2 show (6.7 for The Walking Dead), based on official live + same day national data released by The Nielsen Company. Last season at this point, SNF (8.0 rating) had a 4% advantage over the second-ranked show in the demo (7.7 for The Walking Dead).

SNF's 8.6 rating in A18-49 is the second-best rating in the demo through Week 9 in the 10-season history of Sunday Night Football on NBC (only a fraction behind an 8.7 in 2011), and up 8% from this point last season (8.0).

In addition:

· NBC's Sunday Night Football is averaging 23.57 million viewers - the best viewership for the NFL's broadcast primetime package at this point in the season in 19 years (23.59 million in 1996). SNF is averaging a 13.8/23 household rating - the best start for the broadcast primetime package in 16 years (13.9/23 in 1999). SNF viewership and HH rating are both up 10% from last year at this time (21.4 million viewers and 12.6/21).

· Football Night in America (7:30-8:15 p.m. ET), the most-watched weekly studio show in sports, is averaging 9.7 million viewers - the best start in the show's 10-season history and up 23% from last year at this point (7.9 million). In addition, the 8-8:30 p.m. ET portion of Football Night in America (including pre-kick coverage), is averaging 14.0 million viewers, and a 5.0 rating among Adults 18-49, which would rank No. 5 among regularly-scheduled primetime shows in the demographic.

· Sunday's Football Night delivered the highest Week 9 viewership in the show's history, averaging 10.4 million viewers (up 64% from last year) and posting a 6.1 HH rating (up 56%).

· Sunday Night Football has averaged 20+ million viewers for 9 of its first 10 telecasts - the most in the 10-season history of SNF on NBC and up from five such telecasts at this point last year.

· Philadelphia's exciting 33-27 OT win over Dallas on Sunday, which evened its record at 4-4 and kept the club within a half-game of the first-place New York Giants in the NFC East, averaged 23.0 million viewers and posted a 13.6/23 national household rating, up 24% and 23%, respectively, from last season's Week 9 SNF game (11.1/18 rating and 18.6 million viewers for Ravens-Steelers). In addition, the telecast (8:31-11:58 p.m. ET) averaged an 8.4 in Adults 18-49, up 25% from last year. Eagles-Cowboys is also the most-watched Week 9 NFL primetime game since 1999 (Dallas-Minnesota, 23.1 million on ABC).
