ABC's Kimmel Tops CBS' Colbert for the 3rd Week in a Row in AD18-49

Some early points on Jimmy Kimmel Live's numbers, ahead of the regular press release

During the week of November 16, 2015, ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live topped CBS' The Late Show with Stephen Colbert for the 3rd consecutive week in Adults 18-49 (+3% - 739,000 vs. 716,000). Despite airing a repeat telecast on Friday, Kimmel won over Colbert with 5 original telecasts for the 3rd week running to rank as the #2 late-night talk show among young adults. In fact, on Friday, Kimmel's repeat telecast outdelivered Colbert's original broadcast by 8% in Total Viewers (2.713 million vs. 2.511 million) and by 41% in Adults 18-49 (799,000 vs. 566,000).

ABC's Kimmel also scored its first victory over Colbert among Adults 18-34, beating the CBS late-night talk show by 14% (236,000 vs. 207,000)

· Kimmel grew week to week in Total Viewers (+1%) and Adults 18-49 (+4%).

With its late-night lineup of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" at 11:35 p.m. and "Nightline" at 12:35 a.m. during the week of November 16, 2015, ABC was the No. 1 network in late-night in Total Viewers (2.124 million) for the 3rd-straight week and for the 4th time in the last 5 weeks, beating NBC by 2% (2.089 million) and CBS by 15% (1.840 million).

· ABC grew week to week by 4% in Adults 18-49 (654,000 vs. 629,000).

"Jimmy Kimmel Live" (M-F, 11:35 p.m.)

ABC's "Nightline" averaged 1.530 million Total Viewers, 591,000 Adults 25-54 and 480,000 Adults 18-49 during the week of November 16, 2015, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "Nightline" outperformed CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" (1.145 million, 480,000 and 382,000, respectively) in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+385,000), Adults 25-54 (+111,000) and Adults 18-49 (+98,000).

"Nightline" aired the Top 2 telecasts of the week in Total Viewers with its Thursday (1.812 million - 11/19/15) and Monday (1.784 million - 11/16/15) airings, beating all telecasts of the week of CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers."
