Monday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Tops the Demo Race

Here are the highlights of the 11 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (1/18/16):

CBS (10.233 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) topped the charts on Monday with originals from "Supergirl" (8.821 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.8, #3), "Scorpion" (11.418 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.0, #2) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (10.461 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T4).

ABC (6.334 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2) then claimed the silver with fresh installments from "The Bachelor" (7.527 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.1, #1) and "The Bachelor Live" (3.951 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #9).

Next up was FOX (4.130 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3) and its special "MasterChef: Celebrity Showdown" (4.130 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.5, #6).

Meanwhile, NBC (3.839 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #4) offered up new episodes of "Superstore" (5.606 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T4), "Telenovela" (3.832 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.1, #7) and "The Biggest Loser" (3.399 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #8).

And finally, the special "Just for Laughs Starring Howie Mandel" (1.525 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #10) and a repeat "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.048 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #11) on The CW (1.406 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) closed out the night.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.9/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2 with an encore).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

CBS (10.194 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.0, #1) was the network to beat on a competitive Monday thanks to new episodes of "2 Broke Girls" (8.890 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.2, #T1), "Mike & Molly" (9.299 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.1, #T4), "Scorpion" (12.033 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.2, #T1) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (9.454 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.5, #7).

ABC (7.525 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.9, #2) then was a close second place with fresh installments from "The Bachelor" (7.520 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.1, #T4) and "Castle" (7.537 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.4, #8).

Next up was FOX (5.297 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.7, #3) with originals from "Gotham" (6.433 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 2.2, #T1) and "Sleepy Hollow" (4.162 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.3, #9).

Meanwhile, NBC (5.821 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.6, #4) served up new episodes of "The Celebrity Apprentice" (6.487 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.8, #6) and "State of Affairs" (4.490 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #10).

And finally, the return of "The Originals" (1.484 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #11) and "Jane the Virgin" (1.424 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #12) on The CW (1.454 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #5) closed out the evening. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), the former delivered a 0.7 rating while the latter posted a 0.9 rating.
