Baskets Premiere Also Has Highest Three-Day Lift of Any FX Comedy Series Premiere

LOS ANGELES, January 26, 2016 - FX's new comedy series Baskets starring Zach Galifianakis reps the most-watched basic cable primetime comedy series premiere since 2014 among Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers. On a Live+3 basis, the series premiere of Baskets (Thursday, 1/21/16, 10-10:35PM), co-created by Galifianakis, Louis C.K. and Jonathan Krisel, delivered 1.05 million Adults 18-49 and 1.75 million Total Viewers, the most of any basic cable primetime comedy series premiere in 2015 and 2016-to-date.

In addition, the series premiere of Baskets also represented:

· Basic cable's second-most watched primetime comedy series premiere since 2013 in Adults 18-49, behind only FX's Married.

· The largest three-day lift of any FX comedy series premiere. Among Adults 18-49, Baskets' +80% lift exceeded Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll (+61%); The Comedians (+34%); You're the Worst (+26%); Married (+33%); Chozen (+42%); Legit (+21%); Unsupervised (+31%); Wilfred (+34%); and Louie (+34%). Among Total Viewers, Baskets' +69% lift exceeded Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll (+57%); The Comedians (+34%); You're the Worst (+28%); Married (+31%); Chozen (+42%); Legit (+19%); Unsupervised (+30%); Wilfred (+27%); and Louie (+29%).

In Baskets, Chip Baskets (Galifianakis) wants to follow his dream of being a French clown - however, reality keeps interfering. Saddled with financial difficulties and facing an impenetrable language barrier, he moves back home to Bakersfield with high hopes. There, he is forced to confront his past while working as a rodeo clown and competing with his siblings for his mother's (Louie Anderson) approval and affection. The series also stars Martha Kelly as Chip's insurance claims adjuster.

Baskets was co-created by Executive Producers Jonathan Krisel (Emmy(R) Award-nominated writer and director, Portlandia, Saturday Night Live, Man Seeking Woman), Louis C.K. (Emmy Award-winner, Louie) and Zach Galifianakis (Emmy Award-winner, Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis). M. Blair Breard, Dave Becky, Marc Gurvitz and Andrea Pett-Joseph are also Executive Producers. The series is produced by FX Productions.

Baskets returns with an all-new episode this Thursday, January 28, at 10 PM on FX: "Trainee" - Chip takes a new clown at the rodeo under his wing. Mad clown love ensues. Written by Rebecca Drysdale; Directed by Jonathan Krisel.
