DISCOVERY CHANNEL IS CABLE'S #1 NON-SPORTS NETWORK AMONG MEN FOR JANUARY

Viewership Up Year to Year Among All Women

(Los Angeles, Calif.) - Discovery Channel continues its ratings dominance. For the month of January, Discovery was the #1 non-sports cable network among men. It wasn't just men watching. The audience continues to build a more diverse audience with ratings up year-to-year across all key women (25-54, 18-49, & 18-34), as well as all 18-34s, P2+, and HH. Double-digit gains were also seen among P18-34 (+10%) and W18-34 (+15%).

Discovery also impressively owned 6 of the month's top 10 cable series - including scripted - among M25-54 & M18-49, including the Top 3 in M25-54. Leading the pack of Discovery's top series of the month (P2+) was GOLD RUSH (5.57M), ALASKAN BUSH PEOPLE (4.76M), and ALASKA: THE LAST FRONTIER (4.19M) - giving the network more top 10 series than any of its cable competitors.

Freshman series DIESEL BROTHERS as part of Discovery's Motor Mondays was the month's #1 new cable series across M25-54 and M18-49. Also driving the ratings was fan favorite GOLD RUSH, which is the #1-rated show for the network and #1 series on all of TV on Friday nights across all key Men and P18-34 while FAST N' LOUD was the #1 unscripted series on all of TV for Monday nights with M25-54 and M18-49.
