Thursday's Broadcast Ratings: FOX, "American Idol" Pull Off Another Demo Victory

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (2/18/16):

FOX (8.122 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.0, #1) edged out the demo crown on Thursday with a new "American Idol" (7.999 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.9, #5) and a second "American Idol" (8.245 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.0, #4).

CBS (8.539 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.9, #2) then was a close second with its mix of "The Big Bang Theory" (14.947 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.7, #1), "Life in Pieces" (9.465 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.1, #3), "Mom" (8.673 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.8, #6), the relocated "2 Broke Girls" (6.380 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.5, #8) and "Elementary" (5.884 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.0, #12).

Next up was ABC (6.224 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.8, #3) and its trio of "Grey's Anatomy" (7.770 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.2, #2), "Scandal" (6.064 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.7, #7) and "How to Get Away with Murder" (4.839 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.4, #9).

Meanwhile, NBC (4.593 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) offered up originals from "You, Me and the Apocalypse" (2.557 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.6, #14), "The Blacklist" (5.919 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.3, #10) and "Shades of Blue" (5.304 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.1, #11).

And finally, new episodes of "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" (2.256 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.8, #13) and "The 100" (1.371 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.5, #15) on The CW (1.813 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #5) closed out the night.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/4.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/5 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.1/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

CBS (12.206 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.8, #T1) was the most-watched network on Thursday thanks to a new "The Big Bang Theory" (17.168 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.4, #1), the premiere of "The Odd Couple" (13.569 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 3.1, #T4), part one of the "Two and a Half Men" (13.026 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 3.1, #T4) finale, part two of the "Two and a Half Men" (13.368 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 3.2, #T2) finale and "Elementary" (8.052 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.5, #10).

ABC (8.813 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.8, #T1) however shared in the demo honors with its trio of "Grey's Anatomy" (8.074 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 2.5, #7), "Scandal" (9.527 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 3.2, #T2) and "How to Get Away with Murder" (8.838 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 2.8, #6).

Next up was FOX (6.191 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3) and fresh installments of "American Idol" (8.873 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.1, #8) and "Backstrom" (3.510 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T11).

Meanwhile, NBC (4.936 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #4) served up week two of "The Slap" (3.933 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #13) followed by new episodes of "The Blacklist" (7.490 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.7, #9) and "Allegiance" (3.384 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T11).

And finally, new episodes of "The Vampire Diaries" (1.409 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.7, #14) and "Reign" (1.031 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.4, #15) closed out the evening on The CW (1.220 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #5).
