TVD and The Originals rise with crossover

Last night's THE VAMPIRE DIARIES rose +15% in total viewers (1.169M) week to week and +25% in A18-49 (0.5/2) for its most watched and highest rated episode since 1/29.

TVD also rose +33% in A18-34 (0.4/2) over last week.

THE ORIGINALS rose +21% from last week in total viewers (1.056M) for its most watched episode since 12/3/15, and also reached its best A18-34 (0.4/2) rating since 12/10.

For the night, The CW was up +18% in total viewers (1.11M), +33% in A18-34 (0.4/2), and +25% in A18-49 (0.5/2).

This season, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES and THE ORIGINALS are two of the most heavily time shifted shows on television. THE VAMPIRE DIARIES averages a +73% increase in total viewers, a +90% gain in A18-34, and a +96% jump in A18-49 when Live + 7 Day viewing is added to its Live + Same Day totals. THE ORIGINALS grows by +74% in total viewers, +86% in A18-34, and +96% in A18-49.
