"GRIMM" EQUALS ITS 18-49 HIGH SINCE NOV. 6
THIS SEASON, "GRIMM" IS AVERAGING A +92% LIFT GOING FROM L+SD TO L+7
Friday Primetime Results:
"Grimm" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET):
· Equals its highest adult 18-49 rating since Nov. 6 (1.0 with the second "Grimm" of the season).
· Despite last week's preemption and this week's lower-rated encore lead-in, maintains its 0.9 rating in 18-49 for a fourth consecutive telecast.
· Grows +4% in total viewers versus its prior telecast (4.209 million vs. 4.036 million).
· Delivers its most-watched telecast since Feb. 5 (4.4 million).
· Builds on its lead-in by +50% in adults 18-49 and +42% in total viewers (4.2 million vs. 3.0 million).
· Finishes #2 in the time period among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and most other key measures and ties for #1 in women 18-34.
· Will increase dramatically from these numbers via time-shifting:
· The prior "Grimm" on Feb. 19 grew by +75% in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+3 (0.92 to 1.61) and 2.2 million persons in total viewers (4.0 million vs. 6.2 million).
· It was the #4 biggest gain of that Feb. 15-21 week on the Big 4 networks in 18-49 percentage, behind only the +90% for "The Blacklist" and the +85% each for "Shades of Blue" and ABC's "How to Get Away With Murder."
· L+7: "Grimm" has increased by +92% this season in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+7 (from a 0.91 to a 1.75) and more than 2.4 million viewers overall (3.9 million to 6.3 million).
· Upscale: "Grimm" is capturing a strong upscale audience this season, indexing at a 114 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes ("most current" including L+3).
"Dateline NBC" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 4.7 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET):
· Ties for #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.
· Ranks #2 in the hour among those nets ahead of "20/20" in total viewers (4.7 million vs. 4.3 million).
· Maintains 100% of its lead-in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 (1.5 vs. 1.5) and builds by +13% in women 25-54 (1.7 vs. 1.5) and +11% in total viewers.
· Will add substantial viewership via time-shifting -- Friday's "Dateline" has grown by +29% this season in 18-49 rating (from a 1.05 to a 1.35) and more than 1.0 million viewers overall (4.9 million to 6.0 million) going from L+SD to L+7.
· Upscale: "Dateline" delivers a solid upscale audience, indexing at a 110 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes.
An encore of "Caught on Camera With Nick Cannon" averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 3.0 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET):
In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.8/7; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 1.9/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.8/5 with an encore.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/4; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3 with an encore.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.9/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2 with an encore).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
