Discovery Channel Brings in Massive Viewership and Scores Its Highest-Rated May Ever

DISCOVERY CHANNEL BRINGS IN MASSIVE VIEWERSHIP AND SCORES ITS HIGHEST-RATED MAY EVER

Discovery Owned the #1 Unscripted Series on ALL of Cable with Men and had More Top 10 Unscripted Cable Series Than Any Other Network

(Los Angeles) - Discovery Channel continues to dominate in the ratings. The cable network had its highest-rated May ever among P25-54 as well as its most-watched May ever (P2+). It was also the highest-rated May ever among households.

ALASKAN BUSH PEOPLE led the way as the month's #1 Friday cable series, driving the highest-rated May Fridays ever across P/W25-54 & W18-49 as well as the most-watched ever in P2+. Pop culture sensation NAKED AND AFRAID also helped Discovery secure the highest-rated May Sundays ever in W25-54.

In addition, Discovery owned more Top 10 unscripted cable series than any other network across P/M25-54, P/M18-49, P2+, including 6 of the Top 10 among M25-54. Leading the way was STREET OUTLAWS (#1), DEADLIEST CATCH (#2) and ALASKAN BUSH PEOLE (#3). STREET OUTLAWS also ranked #1 in M18-49 and M18-34; ALASKAN BUSH PEOPLE was #1 in P2+.

Driven by a record-breaking May, Discovery is pacing as cable's #1 network year to-date in M25-54 & M18-49 (excl. sports).
