SCIENCE CHANNEL DELIVERS HIGHEST RATED JULY EVER AMONG TOTAL VIEWERS AND ADULTS 25-54 IN JULY 2016
Freshman Series UNEARTHED Averages 693,000 Viewers for the Month
Coming off the heels of three consecutive quarters (4Q15, 1Q16, 2Q16) with year-over-year growth among Adults 25-54 and Adults/Men/Women 18-49, Science Channel begins 3Q16 with its highest rated July ever among Total Viewers, Adults and Women 25-54 with double-digit gains vs. July 2015 in Primetime and Total Day in L+3. In Total Day the network had its highest rated July on record among Total Viewers P2+, Adults and Women 25-54, and Women 18-49.
In Primetime, Science Channel was up +13% among Adults 25-54 while also posting double-digit ratings gains in Men 25-54 (+15%), Women 25-54 (+18%), Persons 18-49 (+15%), Men 18-49 (+13%), and Total Viewers P2+ (+13%) for the month vs. July 2015.
In Total Day in July, Science Channel delivered growth vs. July 2015 with a +20% increase in Adults 25-54 while posting ratings gains among Men 25-54 (+23%), Women 25-54 (+14%), Persons 18-49 (+25%), Men 18-49 (+18%) and in Total Viewers P2+ (+22%).
Freshman series UNEARTHED, which premiered on July 5, was the network's most watched series this month with an average of 693,000 Total Viewers P2+. The series ranked as the network's third most watched series this year (year to date) in Total Viewers P2+ and the third most watched original program in 2016 (year to date) among Adults 25-54. Additionally, OUTRAGEOUS ACTS OF SCIENCE averaged 484,000 Total Viewers P2+ in July, up +41% vs. Science Channel's Primetime averages; among Adults 25-54, the series was up +42% vs. Science Channel Primetime averages.
