During Premiere Week of the 2016-17 season, ABC claimed 4 of the Top 5 biggest percentage gainers in Adults 18-49 on the broadcast networks and 4 of the 5 shows that grew by triple-digits over their L+SD ratings: How to Get Away with Murder (+107%), Quantico (+100%), Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. In the Live+7 non-sports averages, ABC shot up to a 2.2 rating among Adults 18-49 to come within 1-tenth of CBS (2.3 rating), while moving ahead of Fox (2.1 rating). In L+SD, ABC was 3-tenths behind CBS and tied Fox. ABC grew +0.8 rating points (+57%) over its Live + Same Day Adult 18-49 rating (from a 1.4) in the non-sports averages, making the Net the week's #1 biggest gainer in TV playback in primetime.

The debut of ABC's Designated Survivor was the week's #1 actual gainer in TV playback in both Adults 18-49 (+2.2 rating points) and Total Viewers (+7.7 million).

· Designated Survivor's +7.7 million viewer lift marked TV's largest-ever Total Viewer L+7 increase for any single telecast on any network (the previous record holder was the 12/17/15 telecast of CBS' The Big Bang Theory with a +7.2 million gain).

· Soaring by +2.2 rating points in the 7 days after its premiere, Designated Survivor scored the biggest actual playback lift for any new TV series premiere among Adults 18-49 in 2 years since ABC's How to Get Away with Murder (+2.3 rating points on 9/25/14).

With each growing by at least +100% over their L+SD Adult 18-49 ratings, S.H.I.E.L.D. (+100%), HTGAWM (+107%) and Quantico (+100%) all opened their respective seasons with their biggest L+7 premiere lifts.
