Monday's Broadcast Ratings: "The Voice" Tops Demo Race for NBC

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (11/21/16):

NBC (7.949 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) snagged the demo crown on Monday with new episodes from "The Voice" (9.517 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.1, #1) and "Timeless" (4.814 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T6).

ABC (9.485 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #2) then was the silver draw with its duo of "Dancing with the Stars" (11.983 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.8, #2) and "Conviction" (4.490 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #12).

Next up was CBS (6.146 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #3) with originals from "Kevin Can Wait" (6.964 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3), "Man with a Plan" (5.941 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.3, #5), "2 Broke Girls" (5.400 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.4, #4), "The Odd Couple" (4.608 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T8) and "Scorpion" (6.983 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T6).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.542 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #4) served up fresh installments of "Gotham" (3.468 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T8) and "Lucifer" (3.616 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T10).

And finally, new episodes of "Supergirl" (2.835 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T10) and "Jane the Virgin" (1.418 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.6, #13) closed out the evening over on The CW (2.126 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.8, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.2/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 11 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (11/23/15):

NBC (9.121 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.3, #1) held off the competitive on Monday with a new "The Voice" (10.197 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.5, #1) and the fall finale of "Blindspot" (6.968 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.9, #3).

ABC (12.195 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.1, #2) then was a close second with a new "Dancing with the Stars" (14.280 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.4, #2) and its fall finale of "Castle" (8.025 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T5).

Next up was CBS (7.914 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3) and its trio of "Supergirl" (7.191 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T5), "Scorpion" (8.869 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.7, #4) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (7.682 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #8).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.801 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) offered up originals from "Gotham" (4.019 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.4, #7) and "Minority Report" (1.584 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #9).

And finally, new episodes of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" (0.914 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #11) and "Jane the Virgin" (0.954 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #10) on The CW (0.934 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the night.

·From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.6/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).

·At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
