Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: "America's Got Talent" Continues Reign for NBC

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (8/1/17):

NBC (11.201 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.4, #1) was still the network to beat on Tuesday with new episodes of "America's Got Talent" (13.122 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.7, #1) and "World of Dance" (7.359 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.8, #2).

A distant second place then went to CBS (5.402 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T2) and its trio of "NCIS" (5.660 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T10), "Bull" (5.162 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (5.385 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6).

Sharing the silver was ABC (2.092 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T2) with repeats of "The Middle" (2.887 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3), "Fresh Off the Boat" (2.140 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4), "Black-ish" (2.037 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4), another "Black-ish" (2.044 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6) and a new "Somewhere Between" (1.723 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T10).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.425 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) offered up second runs of "Lethal Weapon" (1.721 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6), "The Mick" (1.258 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T10) and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (0.998 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #13).

And finally, The CW (0.691 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) likewise rounded out the night with repeats of "The Flash" (0.769 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T14) and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" (0.614 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T14).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.7/4; "Late Show," 0.6/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.1/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (8/2/16):

NBC (9.306 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.1, #1) took home top honors on Tuesday with a new "America's Got Talent" (11.306 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.4, #1) and night two of the "Running Wild with Bear Grylls" (5.306 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T2) premiere.

ABC (3.882 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #2) then claimed the silver with the season premiere of "Bachelor in Paradise" (4.590 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T2) launch and a special "Mistresses" (2.465 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #7).

Next up was CBS (5.378 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3) and its trio of "NCIS" (6.580 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T4), "Zoo" (4.446 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T4) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (5.110 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #6).

Meanwhile, The CW (1.369 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T4) served up originals from "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"
