Monday's Broadcast Ratings: ABC Pulls in Front with "DWTS" Return

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (9/18/17):

ABC (8.964 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1) climbed into the top spot on Monday with the return of "Dancing with the Stars" (10.823 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #1) and the season finale of "To Tell the Truth" (5.244 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T4).

NBC (4.875 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2) then was a close second with the season finales of "American Ninja Warrior" (5.922 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #2) and "Midnight, Texas" (2.781 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T6).

Next up was CBS (4.213 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) with repeats of "The Big Bang Theory" (5.957 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3), "Kevin Can Wait" (4.491 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T4), "Mom" (4.130 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T6), "Life in Pieces" (3.364 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8) and "Scorpion" (3.667 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #10).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.218 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) offered up the penultimate week of "So You Think You Can Dance" (2.218 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8).

And finally, second runs of "Supergirl" (1.262 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T11), "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.187 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T11) and another "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.219 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T11) rounded out the night on The CW (1.232 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.6/4; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/5 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 0.9/3 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.5/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

NBC (10.683 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.0, #1) opened the 2016-17 season on top with the season premiere of "The Voice" (11.996 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 3.3, #2) followed by the launch of "The Good Place" (9.036 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.6, #T3) and a second "The Good Place" (7.079 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 2.0, #5).

CBS (9.952 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.2, #2) then was the number two draw with the season opener to "The Big Bang Theory" (15.442 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.6, #1), the premiere of "Kevin Can Wait" (11.153 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.6, #T3) and hour three of "The Case of: JonBenét Ramsey" (7.898 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.8, #T6) and the conclusion to "The Case of: JonBenét Ramsey" (8.662 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.8, #T6).

Next up was ABC (8.610 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #3) with a new "Dancing with the Stars" (10.586 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.7, #8) and the season finale of "Match Game" (4.657 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #11).

Meanwhile, FOX (4.094 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #4) offered up the return of "Gotham" (3.782 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.2, #10) and "Lucifer" (4.406 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.3, #9).

And finally, The CW (1.130 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the evening with a repeat "Supergirl" (1.121 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T12) and another "Supergirl" (1.139 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T12).
