Monday's Broadcast Ratings: ABC Keeps Top Spot with "Bachelor," "Good Doctor"

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (1/22/18):

ABC (7.378 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #1) was still the network to beat on Monday with new episodes from "The Bachelor" (6.321 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) and "The Good Doctor" (9.493 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2).

Second place then went to CBS (5.796 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T2) with originals from "Kevin Can Wait" (7.290 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #3), "Man with a Plan" (6.631 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4), "Superior Donuts" (5.699 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T6), "9JKL" (4.733 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T10) and "Scorpion" (5.212 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T10).

Sharing the silver was FOX (4.223 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T2) with a new "Lucifer" (3.779 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T8) and the time period premiere of "The Resident" (4.667 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T6).

Meanwhile, NBC (4.647 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) served up fresh installments of "The Wall" (5.719 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4), "Better Late Than Never" (4.835 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T8) and "The Brave" (3.387 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #12).

And finally, new episodes of "Supergirl" (2.031 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.5, #13) and "Valor" (1.048 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.2, #14) closed out the night on The CW (1.539 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5).

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.2/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (1/23/17):

ABC (5.880 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1) held onto the demo crown on Monday with a new "The Bachelor" (7.328 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.4, #1) and the return of "Quantico" (2.985 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10).

CBS (7.648 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #2) then was the silver draw with its lineup of "Kevin Can Wait" (8.606 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T2), "Man with a Plan" (7.708 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T4), "2 Broke Girls" (7.124 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T2), a repeat "The Big Bang Theory" (7.116 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T4) and "Scorpion" (7.668 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #6).
