Wednesday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS, FOX Share Demo Crown

Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (2/7/18):

CBS (5.758 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T1) and FOX (5.163 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T1) shared the demo crown on Wednesday as the latter served up new episodes of "The X-Files" (3.741 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.9, #8) and "9-1-1" (6.585 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2).

The Eye then bowed the launch of "Celebrity Big Brother" (7.253 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) followed by a new "The Amazing Race 30" (5.435 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4) and a second "The Amazing Race 30" (4.587 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T6).

Next up was NBC (6.737 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) with originals from "The Blacklist" (6.345 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T6), "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (6.646 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #3) and "Chicago PD" (7.221 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4).

Meanwhile, ABC (2.922 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4) opted for the feature "Inside Out" (3.103 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #9) and a new "Match Game" (2.561 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #10).

And finally, fresh installments of "Riverdale" (1.290 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #11) and "Dynasty" (0.662 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.2, #12) on The CW (0.975 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) rounded out the night.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.3/5 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (2/8/17):

ABC (5.222 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.5, #1) was the demo champ on Wednesday with new episodes from "The Goldbergs" (6.105 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2), "Speechless" (5.452 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T3), "Modern Family" (7.241 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.2, #1), "Black-ish" (5.389 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T3) and "Match Game" (3.572 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.0, #11).

NBC (5.908 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T2) then was the silver draw with its trio of "Blindspot" (4.597 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T12), "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (6.836 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T3) and "Chicago PD" (6.293 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6).

Next up was FOX (5.225 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T2) with originals from "Lethal Weapon" (6.238 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6) and "Star" (4.212 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6).

Meanwhile, CBS (6.008 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #4) offered up new episodes of "Hunted" (5.335 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T9), "Criminal Minds" (6.704 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T9) and "Code Black" (5.987 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T12).
