Wednesday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS, FOX & NBC All Share Demo Crown

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (3/7/18):

CBS (6.459 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T1) was the most-watched network on a competitive Wednesday with its mix of "Survivor: Ghost Island" (8.202 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #1), "SEAL Team" (6.136 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10) and "Criminal Minds" (5.041 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10).

NBC (6.127 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T1) then shared in the demo honors with originals from "The Blacklist" (5.787 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.0, #9), "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (5.762 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T6) and "Chicago PD" (6.832 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #5).

FOX (4.713 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T1) likewise split the demo lead with fresh installments from "The X-Files" (3.453 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10) and "9-1-1" (5.974 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2).

Next up was ABC (4.403 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #4) and its lineup of "The Goldbergs" (5.490 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T3), "Speechless" (4.381 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T6), "Modern Family" (5.198 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T3), "American Housewife" (4.206 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.1, #8) and "Designated Survivor" (3.572 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #13).

And finally, the return of "Riverdale" (1.306 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.4, #14) and the premiere of "Life Sentence" (0.757 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.3, #15) on The CW (1.032 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) rounded out the night.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.7/4; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.2/5 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/4 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

ABC (5.673 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.5, #1) held off the demo competition on Wednesday with new episodes of "The Goldbergs" (5.681 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T2), "Speechless" (4.989 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.5, #5), "Modern Family" (6.506 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1) and "Black-ish" (5.112 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.4, #6) plus the return of "Designated Survivor" (5.878 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #7).

CBS (6.886 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2) then was a close second with the premiere of "Survivor: Game Changers" (7.987 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T2) followed by a second "Survivor: Game Changers" (7.326 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #4) and the season opener to "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders" (5.346 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10).

Next up was FOX (4.861 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) and its duo of "Lethal Weapon" (5.857 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #8) and "Star" (3.866 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.1, #9).

Meanwhile, NBC (4.316 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) opted for repeats of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (4.282 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #12), another "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (4.580 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10) and "Chicago PD" (4.087 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #13).
