Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Pulls in Front with "The Voice" Finale

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (5/22/18):

NBC (7.831 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1) pulled in front on Tuesday with its "The Voice Recap" (6.078 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.1, #6) and the season finale of "The Voice" (8.707 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #4).

ABC (5.575 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2) then was a close second with the respective finales to "Roseanne" (10.330 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.4, #1), part one of "The Middle" (7.558 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.8, #2), part two of "The Middle" (6.599 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.6, #3), "Splitting Up Together" (4.058 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #7) and "For the People" (2.452 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T10).

Next up was CBS (7.559 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3) with the season finale of "NCIS" (11.795 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #5) followed by a repeat "NCIS" (6.693 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #9) and the return of "48 Hours: NCIS" (4.190 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T10).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.549 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4) offered up the feature "Hancock" (1.549 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T10).

And finally, The CW (1.540 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4) rounded out the night with the season finale of "The Flash" (2.118 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #8) plus a new "The 100" (0.963 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #13).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.5/3; "Late Show," 0.3/2 and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.2/5 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.0/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (5/23/17):

NBC (7.081 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #1) was the demo champ on Tuesday thanks to a new "Great News" (3.133 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T8), the season finale of "Great News" (3.074 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #7) and of course the finale to "The Voice" (9.071 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1).

ABC (8.318 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2) then was the silver draw with week two of "Downward Dog" (5.717 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.0, #5) and the expanded season finale of "Dancing with the Stars" (8.839 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2).

Next up was CBS (7.112 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3) with a repeat "NCIS" (8.310 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #6) followed by the season finale of "Bull" (8.353 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3) and another edition of "48 Hours: NCIS" (4.675 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11).

Meanwhile, The CW (2.009 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4) served up the season finale of "The Flash" (2.973 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3) plus a new "iZombie" (1.045 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #13).

And finally, a new "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (1.819 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T8), the season finale of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (1.554 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11) and the penultimate "Prison Break" (1.918 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T8) rounded out the night for FOX (1.802 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4).
